My son has been going here since February of this year.. my son loves his teachers and they love him just as much. I feel like my baby is safe here. The director Jessica is super helpful and everyone is so nice here. Always greated when I come and go. Great communication. Safety is their first priority and they go by the book which I appreciate.

Please read this if you’re thinking about sending your child to KinderCare on General Booth. As a parent, this is something I never thought I’d have to write. My daughter use to attended this daycare for over a year. In the beginning, I trusted them. I felt comfortable because her grandma and uncle were there. I truly believed she was in a safe environment. But over time, she started telling me her teachers weren’t nice. Like a lot of parents, I brushed it off. I thought maybe she just didn’t like being told “no.” I trusted the adults in charge. That was my mistake. One weekend, I picked her up and noticed something that didn’t feel right there was discoloration around her eye. When I brought up concerns in the past, it usually turned into arguments, so at first I second-guessed myself. But deep down, I knew something was wrong. The next day, my mother saw it immediately and asked what happened. That’s when it really hit me this wasn’t something small. I took pictures and sent them to her mom. She was just as shocked as I was. We contacted the grandma… and she had no idea anything even happened. Let that sink in. My child was hurt, and no one told us. I had to wait until Monday to get answers. I called her school first—nothing. Then I called KinderCare. The director (Jessica) put me on hold, and I already had a bad feeling. When she came back, she told me the grandma knew and that they comfort my daughter. That was a lie. I had already spoken to the grandma. She knew nothing. I later found out the incident happened on a Thursday, and no report was written until AFTER I called and questioned them. The director admitted it herself. So my daughter was injured, no report was made, no parent was notified, and they only documented it once they were called out. My daughter could have had a concussion… and we would have never known. That’s not just a mistake that’s unacceptable. After I confronted them, everything changed. Suddenly, my daughter who had no prior behavior issues started getting written up and in trouble. Not long after, she was kicked out. You can call it what you want, but as a parent, it felt like retaliation for speaking up. All I ever wanted was honesty and to know my child was safe. Instead, I was met with lies, silence, and a complete lack of accountability. No parent should ever have to question if their child’s injury is being hidden from them. Please be careful who you trust with your children.

This is a truly amazing daycare run by the most caring and attentive staff, the communication from Ms. Tiffany is outstanding. I cannot think of a better place for my child to be while at work. My 3 year old learns so much and loves her teachers Ms. Marci and Ms. Alisha dearly. I would give them 5 plus stars if I could.

We officially moved to Virginia Beach in March of 2020 right before the pandemic, however in January I made my first trip to look for pre-schools for my then 4-year-old daughter. We were moving from a small town in Pennsylvania and Grace alongside with my two older children attended the same pre-school, we have been there for 11 years, and it felt like family- I wanted her new school to feel the same. I visited five different centers in the Virginia Beach area, but only KinderCare felt right. I was greeted by a wonderful staff, Tiffany was extremely cheerful, open, and welcoming, it felt like family. I have no doubts that there was where Grace was going to attend school. She went to school for one week, then, the pandemic hit, however, the communication and care we received virtually never wavered. The entire staff made sure that all the families remained connected. Grace was missing her school and her new friends, as my third child she has been the most excited of the three to go to school, and I believe that is the best testimony a parent can have. Grace has learned so much, the center really focuses on making these children 'global citizens', they embrace every kid and their families with such joy. The nurturing care and the instruction she is receiving is unparalleled. Yes, sight words, letters, colors, and shapes are important, but I believe that embracing diversity, culture and becoming a happy confident child is more important, and I see that she is learning all that and more in this center. Tiffany and her staff, as educator, have a very important job, which is the be a source of confidence, love, and joy for so many kids that come through their doors and I believe that they are doing a remarkable job.
