Our child attended Primrose at Moorefield Station in the Older Toddlers classroom after we moved to Virginia. There are many things the school does well. The teachers plan fun activities, read with the children, and the school does a great job keeping parents updated through the app with photos and daily communication.
Unfortunately, our experience as a whole was disappointing. Our child struggled with drop-offs from the beginning, and while we initially thought it was a normal toddler phase, it never improved. Many mornings I spent 20–25 minutes trying to leave because there was little support with the transition, while I watched other children be quickly comforted by staff. We also experienced inconsistent communication regarding incident reports and were frustrated when one that we were told had been sent home couldn't be located until weeks later.
The most upsetting incident occurred when our child's finger was caught in a door. I appreciated being notified promptly through the app, and when I called the front desk, they were kind enough to check on my child and call me back with an update, which I appreciated. However, it was difficult to later see a photo posted of my child’s teacher smiling and posing with another child while my child was visibly crying and wailing in pain in the background. As a parent, that was incredibly hard to see.
Every family's experience will be different, and I recognize that many families have positive experiences here. I truly hope this feedback is taken constructively because the school has many strengths. My hope is that there is greater care during difficult moments, more support for children who are struggling with transitions, and more warmth and compassion shown when young children simply need comfort.

I have been part of the Primrose School at Moorefield Station since 2016 and I absolutely love it there (after trying two other daycares). I have had 4 children at the daycare from ages 12 weeks old to 10 years old (we have the older kids do their Summer Camp every summer). I’ve had three children go through their Private Kindergarten program. I can’t begin to explain the family we have been part of for the last 8+ years. They are so welcoming every morning, they know every child’s name, the communication and the curriculum is stellar, and I never have to worry about a thing during my work day! From infant to Kindergarten (and also the summer camps), they run an amazing logistical and educational program. The owner of the daycare greets us every night and makes it like a true family. I tried other daycares and there was always a lot of drama, or miscommunication. The owners of other daycares are no where to be found and were run by unprofessional staffs. It added stress to my workday. The administrative staff at Primrose at Moorefield are an extension of me when my children are in their care and I know every day the children are in awesome hands. If there’s a problem, the owner, the Director, front staff, and curriculum specialist will handle it! I even had a special needs child attend their full program (including Kindergarten) and they worked with us parents, the teachers, and the Behavior Specialist to figure out some accommodations for my daughter starting in Pre-K to ensure Kindergarten would be successful. The Kindergarten teacher is amazing!! She keeps everything under control, advances them to levels above the average public school kindergarten class would be, and emotionally grows your child in her classroom. Primrose at Moorefield Station makes daycare and school fun, and they really taught (and continue to teach) all my children a lot to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. My special needs daughter has since graduated the kindergarten program and is thriving in her new school, and it is all thanks to Primrose’s educational and emotionally supportive approach to the classroom! The social part is also great with many school activities weekly and annually. My kids thrive at this daycare and they are #1 to me in this area! I wouldn’t have my children anywhere else and I wish I could keep them at this school forever!

Accredited Kindergarten not recommended for children from non-english speaking background. 30+ children in class and no focus on such student to help them get to First grade in public school.
There is still 2-3 months of session left, but they have started suggesting that they will not give their consent to Public School so that child can go in First grade.
Rather than helping student to go to first grade, within 2 months they started suggesting that child should repeat Kindergarten.
We had to work very hard with child in last some months and he has shown fantastic overall improvement, but they are very commercial and business focused....
After spending huge fee ($314 /week), we are FEELING CHEATED... :(
