The BYU Arts Building was intentionally designed support the unique needs of students studying art, design, theatre and media arts. In tribute to its predeccesor, the Harris Fine Arts Center, terrazzo stairs and benches have been thoughtfully incorporated throughout the building. The building’s theatres have been designed to accommodate a variety of performance styles, with Mainstage, Studio, and Black Box theatres to accommodate different needs. The building also features gallery spaces to showcase the works from students within the departments of Art and Design.The building additionally houses the College of FineArts and Communications’ administrative and performance support offices.
