Extremely Frustrating Experience
I would not recommend RC Health Services based on my experience.
I completed my course and have done everything I was told was required, yet somehow there is always another hoop to jump through. Multiple times I was told that I was completed, only to find out afterward that there was another requirement, another step, or another unexpected fee.
At this point, I feel like I have been given the runaround. I have invested my time, money, and effort into completing this course, and it is extremely frustrating to continuously have new requirements and charges brought up after I was already told I had finished.
If there are additional fees or requirements, they should be clearly disclosed before students enroll and before they complete the course. Students should not have to keep finding out about additional costs after being told they are finished.
I worked hard to complete this course, and instead of feeling proud and excited to move forward, I am left frustrated and disappointed by the process.
If you are considering enrolling, get EVERYTHING in writing beforehand—including every fee, requirement, certification, and step needed to officially complete the program. Don't assume that being told you're "completed" actually means you're finished.
Very disappointing experience. ⭐️

I scheduled my course here for a Saturday. No one showed! Unprofessional. Never again with this company.

This happened at the Austin location but the instructor was from the San Antonio location so I’m typing this here. This happened on September 29 (or perhaps 28 or the 30th?), 2024 (It was on a Sunday). The instructor was covering for Steve Dixon. I was making mistakes and the instructor was yelling at me such as when I inserted an OPA wrong he yelled, “TAKE THAT OFF OF MY MANIKIN NOW!!!” Also when I had missed a step on the CPR exam, he yelled at me repeatedly, “STOP STOP!!” Not only did I feel discouraged but I also felt sad and on the brink of crying. His yelling even triggered my trauma so I was also afraid of making another mistake and making him even angrier even though he already was angry. He yelled at me for forgetting the right dosage for a medication and scolded me for it. When I missed a step on inserting an OPA, he pointed out that I needed to measure it with the angle of the jaw and he asked me, “does that sound familiar?” I said, “yes”, then he said with a smart alec, rude tone; “yeahhhh” and put the palm of his hand over his face. He had covered his face with his hand out of frustration repeatedly throughout the exam.
I understand this is a serious field to get into but that did not give him the right to act so unprofessional and make me feel so discouraged. He acted as if I was intentionally vandalizing the equipment which of course I wasn’t. I wish I had reported him sooner and get a refund because I did not pay to have my trauma triggered and get yelled at for making some mistakes as a student taking a test. He was so disrespectful to me and his behavior toward me was inappropriate and inexcusable. He was yelling loud that I was certain the other students in the other room could hear everything, either way I felt humiliated. I haven’t been able to get this day out of my head since, and had to look for counseling because of this exact day. I would’ve expected better and will not take this course again and certainly will not recommend this course to anyone.

I took a BLS certification class here and registration/scheduling was painless. The class was fun, detailed and easy to follow. I'll definitely be returning for all my recertification needs!
