- CTColton TaylorMay 23, 20261.0Not a good place. 1 they will teach American Heart Association CPR/BLS and ACLS classes without a certified instructor. I have no idea how this is allowed by AHA but it is a bad look. My hospital tried hiring an EMT from their EMT school but this person had no real skills or knowledge and I have no idea how they got the person passing the test. Avoid at all costs - particularly Shiplet.
- KRKayla RussoMay 19, 20261.0I recently passed the National Registry and became certified, so I wanted to share my honest experience with RC Health Services. In my experience, the program relied very heavily on self-teaching and textbook learning, with much less hands-on instruction than I expected. The “hybrid” format also felt far more online-based than I was led to believe. I personally felt underprepared in several areas and realized that after comparing the experience to other EMT programs. I think this course may work better for students who already have prior medical experience, but for beginners, I found the lack of hands-on instruction frustrating. After completing the program, I’ve had experience with EMTS Academy in Carrollton and personally found their teaching style much more effective. Their instructors were hands-on, they had ambulances available for training, and overall the learning environment felt much more practical and engaging. Just sharing my personal experience in case it helps future students make an informed decision.
