  We wanted to share our experience with this center. We toured shortly after the center opened and decided to enroll our children. Before they started, I asked around in local parenting groups to hear about other families' experiences. I received several private messages from former staff and families who had already left the center with concerning stories. Despite that, we decided to give the center a fair chance and judge it based on our own experience. Unfortunately, our first day was extremely disorganized. We were directed to classrooms but never properly welcomed or shown where to go. When we entered the rooms, teachers were asking who our children were because they had not been properly entered into the system. We had to call multiple times after leaving to get everything corrected, and each interaction with staff felt dismissive. Very little was documented in the app throughout the day. At pickup, my infant was extremely upset. The teacher said she was just about to give him a bottle, but it was stone cold, which was very concerning. When I picked up my older child, I wasn't greeted or given any information about her day. Instead, I was simply told, "If you need details about her day, you can look on the app." The biggest issue came when we got to the car and realized my older child's pants were completely soaked from an accident. She had not been changed before pickup. The following day, the director called to ask if our children would be returning. She apologized and acknowledged that what happened was not acceptable. While I appreciated the apology, it should never have happened in the first place. Another disappointment was the camera access. During our tour, we were told the higher tuition was due in part to parents having camera access to their children. What wasn't made clear was that access is limited to just 20 minutes per day. During the brief time we logged in, our infant was screaming on the floor and eventually fell asleep there after crying from exhaustion. It was heartbreaking to witness. Based on our experience, we chose not to return. In addition to our own experience, several former employees privately shared concerns that they believed certain required documentation and incident reporting were not always properly completed or reported to the state. I cannot personally verify those claims, but hearing the same concerns from multiple former employees and families reinforced our decision not to continue care at this center. Every family has to make their own decision, but based on our experience, we cannot recommend this center.

  We’ve been really happy with our experience at Children’s Lighthouse. Both of our kids attend, and they genuinely look forward to going every day, which says a lot. The teachers have been wonderful and always make us feel like our kids are cared for and loved. Everyone is friendly, and it’s clear they put a lot of effort into creating a fun and positive environment for the children. We’ve seen so much growth in both of our kids since they started. They come home excited to tell us about their day, what they learned, and the friends they’ve made. We also appreciate the communication from the staff and how welcoming everyone is. As parents, it’s such a relief to know your children are somewhere safe where they’re happy and well cared for. We’re thankful we found Children’s Lighthouse and would definitely recommend it to other families looking for childcare in New Braunfels.

  Our first week completed , and my daughter already loves it. Her teachers are wonderful, I feel so comfortable leaving my daughter here, and I love everything they offer! I hear such great things about her day. It makes me so happy knowing she’s loved, learning, and enjoying daycare so much.

  We have been so happy with our transition to the Lighthouse. Our daughter is adjusting well and loves her teachers! The classroom is clean and organized. We also like how the curriculum is structured. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable.
