Too expensive for the time required to complete a course

I wouldn’t recommend the HVAC program.
It costs 32,000 dollars and a majority of it is certifications that you absolutely could get on your own without paying for the school and instead paying for the individual certifications. they promise labs, but they are so rare and few and far between because all of the money that YOU pay as a student goes to the welding program… this was admitted by a teacher in a conversation, amongst which that seems to be most of what the teachers do… talk amongst each other, mostly because the school wants your money and doesn’t really want to teach at an effective level. They also will refuse to truly help you with much of anything, I am transgender, I have been since I was 14 years old. I have gone to other schools and gone by my preferred name at all of them with no issues, they refused to make any real effort outside of emailing teachers to use my preferred name to change my name in the system. This was the first thing that I mentioned when signing up for the school, because I do not want to be referred to by a name that nobody calls me anymore and deeply upsets me. They can be highly disrespectful, and everyone claims they have no power to do anything about anything… It felt like a waste of time, and I am quitting tomorrow.

Went here for CNC Machining in 2022 and struggled with teachers who didn't want to teach, and directors/dean who ignored our problems. Thought I was done with this school when I graduated but while trying to get my 1098 this year they never answer their phones (called Tuesday at 3p and Friday at 2p) and when I went up there today during business hours (I went at 4:30p on a Friday, hours are 9a-6p per google) they were closed. How are students supposed to sign up or get documents they need if Lincoln Tech can't bother being at their building during their listed business hours nor answer their phone?
