  Our experience at Primrose was unfortunately not a positive one. During the time my son attended, he often told me that he had a very hard time making friends. He described a classroom dynamic where some children were very dominant, and there were times when he wanted to play with another child but was prevented from doing so by other kids. As a parent, it was difficult to hear him repeatedly talk about feeling left out. There were also several occasions when he came home with scratches. I emailed the school to ask what had happened, but I did not receive a response. What concerned me most was not simply that conflicts happened between young children — that can happen anywhere — but that I did not feel there was enough awareness, communication, or follow-up from the school when these things occurred. During that period, I also noticed a significant change in my son’s behavior. He became much more irritable at home and frequently did not want to go to school in the morning. Of course, young children cannot always explain every situation perfectly, and I can only speak from what my son told me and what I observed as his parent. But taken together, these things made me increasingly concerned about his experience there. After later seeing my son in a different school environment — where he quickly made friends, happily went to school, and genuinely wanted to stay longer each day — the contrast became even more noticeable to me. Looking back, my biggest disappointment was the social environment in the classroom. I did not feel enough attention was being paid to whether children were being included, whether certain children were dominating the group, or whether a child was struggling socially and feeling isolated. Every family and every child may have a different experience, but this was ours, and I wish there had been more attention to the children’s social dynamics, stronger supervision when conflicts occurred, and better communication with parents when concerns were raised.

  We have been at Primrose Wellington's Pre-K for a year and have absolutely loved it. Our daughter loves going to school (which wasn't always the case at previous daycares) and has developed so much over the past year thanks to her amazing teachers, Mrs. Martha and Ms. Esme. The cherry on top is that the staff is caring and super friendly!

  Primrose School of Wellington has been like a second family and community. The staff are so supportive, attentive, and caring to our kiddos. A lot of their staff are also long term employees which shows that the administration takes care of their own. I’m so happy with Primrose of Wellington.

  I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful school. The education, safety, and the community are the absolute best. They are the best of the best! We just adore Mrs Renee and Ms Maggie!!

  From our very first visit to Primrose of Wellington, we knew something was different with them! The obviously have a great reputation, but nothing beats feeling like you came "home" when you walk in a door like that! We had visited half a dozen schools on that day, and over a dozen that week, and nothing completely measured up to Primrose. We kept saying to ourselves that there was something about Primrose that just gave it that little bit extra. Even at the youngest of ages, they are focused on making sure our kids get the best foundation for learning. Our little ones have flourished SO much since beginning at Primrose Wellington just a few months ago. As a parent, there is something wonderful about seeing your kids develop relationships not only with other kids their age, but with other adults as well. I love that our kids know they are loved and valued by their teachers. It is obvious that they feel safe and trust them. I think that part of learning is just as important and foundational as the educational aspect. We couldn't be happier with our choice to have our kids attend Primrose and we're looking forward to several more years with them.
