We enrolled our daughter at Primrose because we wanted the best possible experience for her, even though it was one of the more expensive options we considered. Our experience with classroom teachers has been mixed. Her first classroom was truly wonderful, the teachers were consistent, caring, and it was clear how much they invested in the children. Unfortunately, that level of consistency did not carry over. In her second classroom, she had five different teachers in just four months, which made it difficult to feel confident in continuity of care and stability. Beyond the classroom, our experience with the administrative and operational side has been consistently disappointing, primarily due to a lack of clear, proactive communication. Throughout our time, there were multiple instances where important information was either delayed or not communicated effectively, including classroom transitions and teacher absences. While each situation on its own may seem small, the pattern created ongoing frustration. Due to these ongoing issues, we had already made the decision to withdraw our daughter and submitted our 30-day notice. During that notice period, there was an incident involving our daughter where communication was not handled appropriately or in a timely manner. While incidents can happen in any childcare setting, how they are communicated to parents is critical. In this case, it did not meet expectations. For a childcare provider, especially at this price point, communication around a child’s well-being should be immediate, clear, and non-negotiable. This experience further validated our decision to leave. If you are considering Primrose, I would encourage you to evaluate not just the classroom experience, but also whether the administrative team can be relied upon to consistently follow their own processes.

Our child has now been bitten at Primrose Mueller 10 times within 4 months. When we voice concerns over this, management repeats that it is normal for this age. When your child is bitten 3 times in 1 day, there is clearly a systematic or processes problem that is not being addressed. We’re not the only parents in our class that have been met with indifference. Reporting of bites is purposely vague. They call you and provide a paper slip that only say “a friend bit your child.” When we ask what steps of escalation have been taken for each bite or what the child-teacher ratio was at the time of the incident, management goes on the defense as if you’re trying to identify the biter. We don’t want children identified. We want to know that the facility is properly staffed and an effective process is being followed. Like other reviewers have noted, you have to proactively ask them to move your child back to classes with better ratios. At the new year, our child was transferred to a class where the teachers were openly honest that there’s too many kids to prevent biting and that they don’t really know how our child’s day went. When I asked to move River back to the previous class, management begrudgingly called the area director for approval. We also checked with friends in neighboring daycares and discovered Primrose has the worst child-teacher ratio in Mueller for 1yo. I asked management why this was and was told they use state recommendations and that the ratios are out of the Mueller location’s control. The reality is that they’re following the state’s legal minimums. I just wish they took more action for the safety of the children. Every week we get the call about a bite and have to worry a disease has been transmitted. Our child has bite marks on their arms all throughout 2026 so far.

We love Primrose! My wife and I love how caring and attentive the teachers and staff are and it’s clear our little one loves being there, too. He’s learning so much from their curriculum and we enjoy the updates showing how much fun he’s having with his teachers and classmates. We couldn’t be happier with the experience!
