I had my son on the waiting list here. Was originally set to start early January. Was going to push his start date back because we are still transitioning to Austin, until I started receiving tuition bills in my email already. Even late payment fee notices! Not a good feeling. Apparently they had him listed as "enrolled" and I havent even toured the location yet. I called the kindercare number on the email to figure out what was going on. They confirmed that I did in fact have a bill pending with late fees, but told me it has to be corrected through the center. The guy with the kindercare number was nice. I then proceeded to call emerald. The gentleman who answered was dismissive and kept interrupting me and said there was "no way" I could be receiving bills already. Even though I have multiple emails to prove it, and I verified through kindercare. He didn't answer any questions just kept reffering to two other women who would "call me back shortly". And??? They never called..... I don't want my baby going there. Feels so impersonal and unprofessional. How can you have a kid listed as "enrolled", bill them for tuition, and NOT bother to check if the kid is actually going there?! Like, we never even got a call asking "Is your child okay? He hasn't shown up yet. Did you find another daycare?". Instead they did nothing, and just asked for money.

Facility is completely dirty!! Went to visit on 2/22/23 soon as I walked in I notice the curtains where a mess the front area it was also a mold smell. I then walked in and seen the open concept the first two classrooms were a mess and didn’t seem to even be used just toys and trash everywhere and on top of everything... They took me too 2 more class rooms that were a little bit more clean and seemed more in use then the first 2 from the front on the opposite side. I believe Bianca was the name of the teacher who gave me my tour she seemed hesitant to show much but after seeing the outside we decided to explore other options, my oldest when here in 2015 the place had went into shambles since from the looks. I hope they do better this facility has been here for ages!!!

Everyone is very friendly, their curriculum is great and the environment is clean. There is no weird "daycare" smells and it is very organized.

So if your kid is less than 18 months or so, this place is ok, the teachers are caring and friendly and will look after your little one.
But as your child gets older, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. As our daughter moved up the classes it was evident how immature the staff is here, and also how overwhelmed.
When our child moved into the two year old classroom, I started noticing that when I came to pick her up, the kids were more and more likely to be watching YouTube on the teacher’s phone or a movie on tv while most of the teachers gossiped in the office or hallway.
KinderCare advertises that “most” of their centers are NAEYC certified — this one is not and it shows.
Things we were told in our last few days here:
“I can’t be expected to have close relationships with every kid.”
“I have 17 kids to watch by myself!”
“Unlike you, I spend time with my kids every day.”
Honestly being parent shamed by our child’s daycare, that we give our hard earned money to, was unimaginable.
There are other reasons we left this daycare that I’m not going to go into detail on to avoid this review being a novel - but trust me, this is not a good place for your toddler to learn and definitely not a place that employs good role models.
