Amazing experience with everyone here. Friendly, no-judgement, supportive staff eager to support your journey. Working with Ethan on music production has accelerated my progress and leveled me up immensely and now continuing with more lessons for DJing and Live Performance. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to expand their DJ or Production skills.

I enjoyed my experience as an adult student that took a course at Dub Academy. I've DJ'd a bit before, but never to the extent that I've always wanted to. As a full-time music producer, I had already had some skills covered typically introduced in the 101 course, so DJ Benzo (Lorenzo), my instructor, was diligent in meeting me where my skills were currently at. As someone who was getting ready to play a wedding, DJ Benzo made sure to set me up for success and cover so much ground in what seemed like a short window of time (wedding set went great, also)! DJ Benzo has been in the Austin DJ scene for a while and has a breadth of knowledge to share. In the short time I've known DJ Benzo so far, I respect his tenacity, positivity, and passion for teaching people how to DJ and also how to ~be~ a DJ. It is evident that he wants the best for his students and is excited to see them succeed. DJ Benzo encouraged me to go to an Open Deck to perform towards the end of my lessons (he also came out to play and support) and it inspired me to stay connected to the DJ community!

Love this place so much!! I had known about Dub Academy for awhile, and was looking for a new creative hobby, so I decided to sign up for their 1 hour evaluation class with DJ Grip. Was super inspired by Grip and the whole vibe of the studio, so I signed up for their DJ 101 course (6 week program). So much fun and really challenging (in a good way)! I had the best time during my 101 grad set at the end of the 6 weeks. I immediately signed up for the 102 course (8 weeks) with DJ Grip. The whole Dub staff has been super accommodating with my class and work schedule, which I super appreciate. I always look forward to every class and Grip is always prepared to answer my many questions. This art form is challenging and requires a lot of practice, but the Dub Academy crew and atmosphere make it so much fun. Can't wait for my 102 grad set. Y'all are the best!

Took the 101 DJ class and it was a great experience! I honestly went into it a lil scared but everyone was so nice and welcoming and over the course of 6 classes Benzo taught me everything I needed to get started. I’ve never felt so confident or proud of myself than when I did my graduation set and everyone was enjoying the music I was playing. Can’t wait to continue my learning here with the next level of DJ classes and honestly I’m thinking of taking production classes here as well. TLDR: great community, great teachers!

One of the best DJ academies I’ve ever experienced. The instructors are phenomenal and always willing to help however they can. If you're looking to get into DJing and music production, I highly recommend DUB Academy. A huge shoutout to DJ Grip!
