As first-time parents, choosing a daycare felt like one of the biggest decisions we’ve ever made, and enrolling our son at Primrose Center City was the best choice we could have made.
He started in the infants classroom, and from day one the teachers, administrators, and even the owner (who is incredibly hands-on, present almost every day, and somehow knows every child and parent by name!) made the transition completely seamless. As new parents, that level of care and attention meant everything to us. We truly never worry during the day because we know he is safe, supported, and so loved.
As a dual-career household, having that trust also gives us the mental space to stay focused at work during the day, which is invaluable. The school’s hours are incredibly helpful for working parents, and the fact that they provide meals and snacks removes so much of the daily mental and physical load of planning and prepping food. They even offer quarterly Parents’ Night Out events, which gives my husband and me a built-in date night (even if that sometimes just means takeout and catching up on chores at home!).
Now that he’s moved into the young toddler classroom, we’ve been just as impressed. The transition was thoughtfully handled over time. They gradually introduced him to his new teachers, classroom, and schedule, which made the change feel easy and natural for him (and for us!). It’s been amazing to see how much he’s grown there already. His independence has blossomed, and his communication skills (especially using sign language) have developed so much thanks to the intentional support from his teachers.
We recommend Primrose wholeheartedly to any parent looking for a nurturing, structured, and loving environment for their child. Honestly, even if we move to the suburbs someday, we would absolutely drive in just to keep him here. And if we have another child, there’s no question that they’ll be enrolled at Primrose too.

We lived in Center City, Philadelphia, for the past year and enrolled our child in Primrose. She had the best time in the school. They learned through play, making school fun. The teachers (even those who weren’t teaching my child) and staff know the children by name. The place is clean and well maintained. The school makes an effort to bring the children out for walks and outdoor play when the weather permits. They do a tour of the school before you decide so I think it’s really helpful for parents who are deciding on the best place for their children.

We’ve been at Primrose of Center City for 6 years and highly recommend. We have complete peace of mind every day we’ve sent our kids, starting from when they were 12 weeks old. The communication app is great with regular updates. The curriculum is great. Our older son is now in elementary school and was very well prepared thanks to Primrose. Major benefits for working parents include the lunch program (balanced and varied lunches as well as better control over food allergens because they know the ingredients in everyone’s meals), they provide linens (who has time to worry about washing crib sheets/nap mats), and their calendar/ hours of operation (they are only closed on major holidays and a very small number of well scheduled other days; I hear from so many friends that their daycare is closed for a week around winter holidays, spring break, etc. although parents still need to work!). There are so many special teachers (plus Leadership) who are truly amazing caring for the kids. I’m always impressed how every teacher/Leadership and Mr Maher (the owner) knows every child by name and personally.

Our children had the incredible privilege of attending the Primrose School of Center City Philadelphia for five years, and it was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we've made for their early education. The facility is immaculate, safe, and beautifully maintained, with classrooms that are spacious and filled with natural light. This was especially important to us, as we've seen other schools that felt cramped and dim in comparison.
Our kids were eager to go to school every day and often didn't want to leave because they were having so much fun. The teachers and staff are truly the heart of this school. Their genuine care and affection made our children feel like they were being looked after by family, which provided us with immense peace of mind as working parents. The staff not only kept our kids engaged throughout the day but also skillfully prepared them for important milestones, from potty training to kindergarten readiness.
We can't express enough how much we love this school. If it were up to us, we'd keep our children here forever! We wholeheartedly recommend Primrose School of Center City Philadelphia over any other in the area. We've experienced other schools, but none compare to the outstanding environment and care at Primrose.
Thank you, Primrose School of Center City Philadelphia, for your love and support over the past five years. We are forever grateful!
