The Phlebotomy Technician program is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and hands‐on skills necessary to build a successful career as a competent entry‐level phlebotomist within the healthcare community. The program prepares the student to work in hospitals, laboratories, physicians’ offices, clinics, blood banks, and insurance companies.

CNC machines have radically changed the manufacturing industry. Curves are as easy to cut as straight lines, complex 3-D structures are relatively easy to produce, and the number of steps that require human action have been considerably reduced. In the CNC / Machinist Technician career training program you will get your hands on drill presses, mills, lathes, and grinders, then advance to CNC milling and CNC turning. You will learn to efficiently set up and run CNC machines. Be capable of controlling the 3 axes of lathes and mills through Computer Numerical Control programs. Problem solving skills, troubleshooting techniques and use of engineering materials and processes learned at EIT will enable you to take your place in tomorrow’s industry.

Employers are offering career opportunities to technically skilled employees – someone like you – who can be responsible for maintaining all types of manufacturing and building systems. In the Industrial Maintenance and Mechatronics career training program you’ll gain the expertise that is used in a manufacturing environment. This interdisciplinary program combines the classic knowledge of Industrial Maintenance (hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, welding, machining) with current Electronics and Electrical Systems used in manufacturing today. As a trained technician you’ll be needed for maintenance analysis and diagnosis, troubleshooting electrical and electronic applications, developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, installing and servicing hydraulics and pneumatics systems, assembly equipment, HVAC and building systems. Plus you’ll learn the OSHA Codes and train for your refrigeration certification. So to the question – “Where could EIT graduates work?” The answer – “Anywhere in industry.”

Upon completion of the Electrician Program, students will understand the practices and applications found in residential, commercial and industrial electricity. Students will be qualified for entry level employment in the electrical field in positions which include electrician, electricians’ helper, electrical technician, electrical maintenance technician and utility technician.

HVAC Technicians are vital in modern day homes and buildings. Heating and air conditioning systems control the temperature, humidity, and overall air quality in homes, businesses, and other buildings. They are typically responsible for not only the installation of HVAC systems but also their repair and maintenance. The average day of a HVAC Tech consists of traveling to worksites, following design specifications to install and repair HVAC systems, connect systems to fuel and water supply lines and air ducts, and install electrical wiring and test for proper operation. Develop your skills in an (HVAC/R) Technology career training program at EIT. Our four-term program provides hands-on training and instruction that helps you stand out from other candidates. Upon completion, you’ll know how to install, maintain, and repair the electronic and mechanical components that keep HVAC/R systems running. You will gain skills in installing HVAC units, including electronic and mechanical components; ductwork installation, including flexible tubing and sheet metal; installation and repair of fuel and water supply lines; installation and recycling of refrigerants; installation and repair of electrical connections to HVAC/R components; and the installation and repair of HVAC/R system automation components. Upon completion of the Welding Technology career training program, students will understand the common welding processes and applications at the foundation, intermediate and advanced levels. Students will take welding classes that include blueprint reading, gas metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, pipe welding, and welding fabrication. Students will be qualified for entry level employment in the welding field in positions which include Welder, Welding Specialist, Welding Technologist or Welding Engineer. Our school contains 26 welding booths to train in, each equipped with Lincoln Electric Welding equipment.

We want to assist every Financial Aid applicant in obtaining the financial aid assistance they are legally entitled to receive. Student eligibility, the school’s packaging criteria, and the amount and types of financial aid available determine the types of grants and loans you may qualify for. We take pride in having a staff that is committed to working one-on-one with every person that enters our doors in search of financial assistance. Our Financial Aid department has a number of packages consisting of grants and loans available to those who qualify. These packages are tailored to each student’s financial needs. EIT provides an active job placement assistance program, without additional charge, for all graduates who desire assistance. Law prohibits any school from guaranteeing a job, however, we do feel a strong responsibility for placement and will assist in every way possible. We offer Veteran Education Benefit programs to eligible veterans, active duty, and dependents. The Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program provides up to $4,000 (over 2 years) of Financial Assistance for military spouses who are continuing their education by pursuing a license, certification, or Associate degree in a portable career field and occupation. EIT conducts a Veteran Resources Luncheon annually to introduce our student Veterans to several VA programs, including Primary Care Services, Eligibility Screening, Veterans Affairs, and the Mobile Veterans Center.

The school is open Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM to all visitors who wish to view the facilities and classes in session.
