I wanted to come on here from an anon account as I’m currently going here and I’m not trying to have fall back. I find the response from admin kinda hilarious, bc I had actually filed genuine complaints with this school, they made promises to try to resolve and they failed to even touch bases with me. I want to be a little different than the rest of the reviewers. I want this to also be for the Committee and Board of this school. Your ratings are tanking since this new director has joined the team. Your school students are going without so many privileges they still promise us as we sign up, bc this director cares more about the money and kickbacks from vendors and third party companies.whether it be from the towing companies they are calling on us as students INSIDE the parking lot, or the local food vendors who make their prices too cheap (for us as the students) to afford to give them kick backs. They have been promised us a bigger campus for a long time now. They collect all this money from us, and we don’t get to see any of where it goes. They have the electrical students working for free and frame it “extra credit” so they get free electrical work on the commercial buildings from students who aren’t even certified yet. The good teachers struggle bc they red tape them, then the bad teachers you have “gather a group” to get your complaint to even be believable according to admin. Nothing ever occurred to resolve a blatant disregard for our education. We taught ourselves a few blocks at this point. This school is outrageous. And I think they should aim for someone who cares with INTEGRITY. Rather than the director who has made our lives all change for the worse for a bottom line. It’s proven that happy students on campus create conversion to new students. I WOULDVE referraled a few ppl who have been interested since seeing me. But I tell them to go out of state for this college. NOT the Las Vegas campus. And the minute I can transfer, I will be. I will also be warning every person who tries to thru me, of my experience. Bc I would never want anyone to go thru this. Maybe they run things better in Arizona.

People can say how bad the institute or the instructors are or that it’s a scam. If you are willing to show up, work, and study then you will be fine. I’m not a genius by any means but still graduated on time with my license and a job waiting for me. And that was in the midst of COVID when no one was hiring. Say what you want but I will always be grateful to AIM for their support.

With AI threatening almost all desk jobs, aviation maintenance is a field about as AI proof as you can get. It is hands on, highly skilled AND it requires FAA mechanic certification. Like any post secondary education for adults, you need to take the initiative to learn to succeed both in training and in the real world. Challenging students to do that in an imperfect world is not a bug. It is a feature.
