University of Medicine & Health Sciences

The University of Medicine and Health Sciences (UMHS), is a private Medical school with its Basic Science campus located in Saint Kitts in the Caribbean, its Pre-Clinical campus in Portland, ME, and its administrative headquarters in New York City. UMHS students will transition from St. Kitts to this Portland campus for their 5th semester, which consists of two required courses: Introduction to Clinical Medicine II and Biological Basis of Clinical Medicine. The 5th semester in Portland represents a transitionary period where students are half in the classroom and half in the clinical setting, working closely with medical preceptors throughout the region. The last six weeks of the semester includes a live USMLE review course.
