  Unfortunately I’ve had a terrible experience with my son’s preschool teacher at KinderCare. As a parent you want to ensure your child has a loving and hardworking teacher while you are gone for the day. This wasn’t the case with the preschool teacher here (Samantha) Poor hygiene did not wash children’s hands before meals would leave my son in pooped diapers that would cause rashes on him till I had to constantly say something about it. The last week my son was supposed to attend daycare took all his stuff down and name which is extremely unprofessional and shows she only does this for the money and not because she loves the children. As a passed teacher I could not imagine doing this to a family or child out of respect and love for the child.

  Kindercare in Ashland was our top choice center as we prepared for our baby girl. As first time parents they welcomed us with an orientation and from the minute we stepped into the infant classroom on Orientation Day, we were greeted with friendly smiles willing to guide us through these formative months and years of our daughter’s life. On Orientation Day and in the first months, we asked many questions and wrote many messages over the Kindercare app checking on our daughter’s day. As true educators there was no question “too dumb” or “out of line” because they always answered promptly with great detail which let us know all of her teachers and the directors (Miss Frances and Miss Leslie) knew how our daughter’s day was going. Every morning Miss Leslie greets our daughter with a genuine smile and hug; she treats our daughter as if she is her own which is what every first time parent wants in their daycare center as they leave their baby for the first time. The details provided through the Kindercare app give us peace of mind that we can track how she is doing throughout the day with her bottles, diapers, notes and pictures sent right to our phones. It is evident that her teachers have diverse experience and background knowledge that help create a safe learning space for her to explore her world and take those developmental leaps such as rolling and babbling in infancy. Her teachers really listen to us when we are asked what we wanted her goals to be and are helping her achieve those goals. We can’t wait to see what Kindercare has in store as she continues to grow through their classrooms and curriculum.

  Unfortunately, we've had a terrible experience at this KinderCare. After the assistant director left back in September, the place has been very poorly managed and plagued by staffing shortages, random closures, poor/unclear communication, and an almost 100% staff turnover. Before we left in March, there was rarely a week that went by without our class being closed for at least one day (with very short notice, sometimes same-day or even during drop-off). The last straw for us was when they continued to give our child foods they were allergic to, despite all of the paperwork and medications being filled out and provided for their food allergy. The only reason I'm giving two stars is for the hard work of the teachers who cared for our child despite the mismanagement (who have now all left this location). Did I also mention that it's more expensive than any other center we've toured? To correct the KinderCare response to this review, our child didn't have "accidents"- she was repeatedly given foods she was allergic to.

  I cannot say enough about the amazing teachers and staff at Ashland Kindercare! They demonstrate best in class professionalism and genuinely care about the safety and development of my children. This is a learning center that emphasizes creative, experiential learning and truly puts the children at the center of all they do. Highly recommend them!
