Had a great experience! Our daughter loved it. They taught her so much and it was like we had an extra set of experts teaching our daughter and helping us keep on track. Loved the infant room

Our son absolutely loved Primrose. While we only attended for his Pre-K year, it was during a very turbulent time in our lives, after a last minute move to Kansas City. He was very nervous and timid after leaving his old school, but he opened up so quickly and by the end of his year he had learned SO much. His teachers were excellent and he grew so close to his classmates that he called them his brothers and sisters. He walked out of Primrose as more confident person and while he was so sad to say goodbye, he communicated many times how ready he felt for Kindergarten. Now that he has started Kindergarten summer school, several of his teachers have remarked how great he is doing from the jump and how helpful he is with the more more nervous kids in his class. Primrose is a huge reason for this and we feel so thankful he got to spend his Pre-K year there. Thank you Primrose!

We are also another family that felt misguided by their lacking communication. When my husband and I found out that we were moving to Kansas City, we were scrambling trying to find daycare for our youngest. We heard good things about the Primrose associated with KU so we decided to tour the facility and put down a deposit to secure our spot. The administrator that gave us the tour told us that our child would be able to start in June. She made it sound as if there were plenty of spots and told us that there was nothing else that we needed to do. Based off of this information that they told us, we didn’t follow up until a month before we were planned to start at Primrose when we realized that they never reached out to us to provide more information in regards to classroom info and supplies. When I spoke to the Primrose owner she said that there were no spots available and that they would not be able to provide an anticipated start date yet as they were in the process of getting license to increase capacity in their classrooms. So now we were out our $300 deposit and we also had to scramble again to find childcare for our toddler.
Please do not tell families that there are spots available and have them put down a non-refundable deposit, just for them to go back on their word and say there’s no availability. The deposit required is not chump change. Now I wonder how many other families this has happened to, and Primrose has basically just pocketed those deposits.

They run their preschool like a military academy. If your child is even a little neurodivergent then the staff doesn’t know what to do. They kicked our son out a few years ago- he was 2 years old.😳 Considering how expensive it is, don’t risk it, just avoid it!!!

We’ve had such a great experience with this school. The teachers and staff truly care about the students and create a positive, supportive environment for learning and growth. My kids are excited to go to school every day and have learned so much both academically and socially. Communication with parents has been excellent, and it’s clear the school puts a lot of effort into helping every child succeed. We’re very thankful to be part of this amazing school community!
