When you've had the unfortunate experience of lesser quality schools, you recognize quality when you see it. It's twofold - in the administration and the teachers. This school is bright, colorful and clean. You can tell the halls are cultivated to be welcoming and the bulletin boards are ever-changing with the children's artwork. You often smell something delicious being handmade in the kitchen and the classrooms are organized and clean. I truly felt as ease when dropping my son off in the morning.
Ms. Imelda and Ms. Kanyah were the BEST teachers in the world. They both had strengths that played off each other which made them such a great team. Ms. Imelda, being a mom, poured her heart and kind spirit into each of her students. Ms. Kanyah instilled structure and routine (with a loving hand, of course). Not once did they seem frazzled or annoyed with our littles. They would take the time at drop-off to talk to me about how my son was doing, how his day was, what they were focused on, working on with him, etc. It actually felt like we were a team working together to enrich my son (which was heavily missing at the two prior schools we tried). If my son had a bad drop-off, they would take a few minutes to message me in the app and tell me he was okay and offer tips/guidance for the future. I know my son is undoubtedly better by being in their care this past year. We should all be so lucky to have such special people around our children on a daily basis.
Along with these wonderful teachers, the administration did an amazing job making us feel welcome and coordinating events, parties, parents night out, etc. They even sent each parent home with a homecooked meal one night. I know I speak for so many moms out there who are burning the candle at both ends. We are trying to be so much to so many and to not have to worry about dinner, even for one night, can give us a chance to take a breath and enjoy the moment just a bit more. Ms. Allison was always friendly, always spoke to us, checked in, etc.
My only regret is I wish my older son (who is no longer preschool age) had the opportunity to go to this school. I'm so sad to say goodbye but so happy for all the littles who have futures here!

Primrose of Dunwoody has been an exceptional find for our family. Mrs. Lynn and Mrs. Kayla are rock stars. We couldn't be more pleased with the positive environment they've created for our daughter and her teachers.

I went today for the Open House. I called and spoke with the director and she sent me an electronic invitation for an Open House from 11-12. Nothing on the invite said anything about being there at exactly 11 am. Apparently I had "missed" the tour when we arrive at 11:13 am. There were so many parents (who were asked to stand in a single file line) that we couldn't make it in the door. No one from Primrose was there to greet us at the door, tell us where to go, or what to do. We waited for 10 minutes before I was able to grab someone with a uniform on and ask what we were supposed to be doing. She seemed annoyed and asked what time our invite said. I told her 11 and she said we would need to fill out a form.
We filled out a form standing up (no where to sit) and then stood there after we finished. I then had to grab a different employee and ask them what to do next. She then told me that we were really supposed to be here at 10 am but since we had been asked to come at 11 that must have meant they didn't have room for our child for at least another year or so (I would have never come if that was the case).
Needless to say we left. You would think if they had time to plan and advertise an open house they would know what they were doing. It was a total waste of time for my husband and I. If this is how they run an Open House I can't imagine how they run the school. I would never, ever let my child go there.
