My experience with Aviation Institute of Maintenance in Florida was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue for me was the constant turnover of instructors, which was honestly mind-boggling. It felt like there was a revolving door of instructors, making it difficult to have any consistency or stability in the classroom. When you’re paying a significant amount of money for an aviation education, you expect experienced instructors, consistency, and a program that feels like it’s worth the investment. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel like I was getting that. On top of the instructor turnover, the tuition is ridiculously expensive for what you receive. The cost is hard to justify when the educational experience itself can feel so inconsistent. There are definitely people there who care about the students, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. If you’re considering AIM, I would strongly recommend comparing the tuition, instructor stability, and overall value against other aviation schools before making such a major financial commitment.

Horrible upper management, Mr. Moore is a tyrant and a bully of a director, and very nosey. He tries to impose his own issues on others. I am a veteran and he treated me like trash while I was there because I had issues with getting to school. Car issues that I could not pay for at the time as well as mental health things going on. He was very condescending and offensive. I got my 8610's signed off, and will get my A&P license without this school.
