The JDT was established in 1979 as the channel for the first hospice in America to provide education and research for those currently in the hospice and palliative field and all future practitioners. With the help of partnerships with universities both in Connecticut and across the country, clinical rotations are available for students who want to become a part of the interdisciplinary team, including medicine, nursing, social work and spiritual counselor.
In addition, educational programs are presented for current hospice and palliative practitioners.
