  We just moved to this area and were looking for a new daycare for my youngest son (4). I called this center inquiring about availability and they confirmed they had space. When I went for the tour, I was told the director was on maternity leave and my son wouldn't be able to start until she returned (15th). At the time it was two weeks out which was no problem. I called to check and was told it was the now the 16th. Again, no big deal. Called on the Friday before the week my son was supposed to start/the director returns. Was told it was now pushed to the end of the month now and they weren't even sure if there was space now. A few hours later, they called me back said there's no space after all. What a complete waste of my time and theirs. If I would have known there was no space, I wouldn't have gone through any of the trouble. The staff doesn't seem very capable if they are left in charge and not sure of the capacity of their center or if they can enroll or not.

  I worked at Blue Heron Elementary School which backs up to Knowledge Beginnings. I worked in the before and after school program at the elementary school. Almost every afternoon we would take our kids out to the playground for outside time. Frequently I saw boys at knowledge beginnings rough housing and throwing each other to the ground. It was more then “boy play.” They were slamming each other into the ground and pushing one another into the fence. It was concerning. The adult present in that particular section of the daycare was often sitting at the picnic table watching it happen and not doing anything. I was appalled that the adult was not intervening and doing something. I’m sure there are several caring and loving adults and teachers at this child care but this repeated incident was alarming to me.

  Love this daycare they are amazing with all ages I have my 4 boys here they are AMAZING!!! LOVE THE STAFF

  I'm sad to see that others had a bad experience, though it should be noted that the center here has a new director, and our experience has been fantastic. Every teacher in the infant room knows every little detail about every child, filling each other in on even mundane details if something happens after one of the teachers leaves for the day. ("I heard X had a huge blowout yesterday afternoon!") The new director is very hands-on, and though my child never went there under the old director, I heard that there may have been some issues with the old director. The new director, Patricia, is very rule-focused and safety-focused, which I appreciate. The staff here that I've dealt with all legitimately care about each and every child and I can't imagine my kid going anywhere else.
