Our family's feelings on Superstition Kindercare can be summed up into one word: disappointed. We're disappointed mostly because our son's first few months were mostly good, in terms of the staff. He started attending when he was just 3 months old - but was unfortunately only able to attend for about half of the days out of the months because of how FREQUENTLY he was ill. The infant room has 11 kiddos at a time between the ages of 6 weeks and 1 year (give or take). In the 8 months our son was there, he caught RSV x2, bronchiloitis (put him in the hospital for 3 days), 3 separate week-long diarrhea bugs, and so much more. Just ALWAYS sick. Things in terms of illness seemed to turn around a bit in his last 2ish months he was there, which was great. Until he got what the daycare swore was pink eye and sent him home immediately - even though we informed them that his eyes were watering from the allergies he was experiencing from the smoke from the mulch fire Mesa had for over a week. Did not matter. Sent him home with watery eyes and said he needed a doctors note to come back that week. Took him to the doctor and after wasting a half day of work pay, and $200 for an urgent care visit (his pediatrician didn't have any openings), who would have thought it was actually ALLERGIES. But we didn't have a choice but to take him to urgent care for a note though because we need childcare in order to go to work. And it takes every minute of work to be able to afford $1500 a month in daycare, so what else do you do? Some days later, I walk into the daycare to pick up my son and I notice he has a huge red bump on his head. Im asking what happened (thinking it had to be a big bite he scratched at??) and no one would give me an answer until one of the teachers finlly said "he got hit with the door when a teacher was entering the room" (the teacher who actually did it wouldn't even tell me, it was a different teacher thay finally spoke up). EXCUSE ME. You mean to tell me that a full time infant care teacher can't look through a window before entering a room full of crawling children?? And then the cherry on top was the fact that I got an "accidents happen" before a "sorry" was even mumbled out. When I brought that up to the director, I got a "[the teacher] was probably just embarasssed". Your teacher was too embarrassed?? Well no sh*t she put a bruise the size of a baseball on my son's head and couldn't even say sorry without mumbling it, so yeah I'd be embarrassed too! The last week my son was in their care, he came home with two pink slips (injury reports) and two new bruises/marks. We were done. This is also just the parts of the story that involve my son. This doesn't even go into how toxic their culture is between some of the staff. There's a reason they can't keep teachers in their classrooms and they're always short staffed. They even go as fair as sending out messages to the parents to try to guilt trip them into picking up their kids earlier in the day because they don't have enough staff. Things like "If you can pick up your child before 3pm so [insert teacher] can go home, since she can't go home until the student ratios are down" The short staff issues are also probably why my son was sick so frequently - teachers picking up bugs from the older kids when they have to cover their classrooms and then come back to infants. Once my son's favorite teacher was chased out and my son began showing signs of distress while around particular staff, we knew we had to pull him. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We're thankful for the handful of staff who were amazing to our baby, the ones he will very obviously miss and we'll stay in touch with. But everything else about this place is toxic. Don't even get me started on the "lunches" they serve the kiddos .. Goodbye Superstition Kindercare. ** forgot to mention that it was promised that formula would be provided and after Denise took over as director, we never saw formula again. At first the excuse was "formula shortage" but then the shortage ended and still..none..

Kiddo loves his school. Class is organized and teacher's are great. Ms Denise (director) and the other teachers are really kind and kiddo loves them Update: Ended up pulling my son out of this facility within a few months after posting due to him having major issues and transferred him to another facility. The staff of the time for the PreK kids were NOT fit for the job. Multiple complaints to the director at the time (unsure if Denise is still there) were ignored or dismiss, child ended up falling behind where he was before he started at Kindercare (the structure they bragged so much about, was not being implemented by the staff) and overall was lied to regarding my childs wellbeing on Multiple occasions. Never was notified of incidences or accidents until my child would mention it and would watch the teachers try to make a half thought explanation as to why was not notified at that time. Instructions were told due to my child's health history to be notified of accidents or issues and they were regularly dismissed/ignored.
