  Let me just say if you're the kind of parent who enjoys worrying about whether your child is being supervised, whether the staff will randomly get locked out of the building or whether your toddler is off somewhere in the yard organizing a chicken wrestling tournament, then Primrose of South Gilbert is NOT the daycare for you. Truly, a disappointment on that front.Honestly, I figured I would get more exciting news in my daily updates. Because at this school, none of that happens. Ever. The director Emily apparently think "keeping track of the children " and "running things smoothly" are, like, part of the job. Wild concept, I know. Emily was actually my now-12-year-old's teacher years ago, back before she took over as director. So when we had our second baby, choosing South Gilbert again wasn't even a decision it was a foregone conclusion. Knowing Emily was leading the school made it a no-brainer to trust them with our second the way we trusted them with our first. And that trust hasn't just held up, it's grown, which is honestly rare and kind of annoying because now I can't complain about anything, which Emily knows I can be very good at. Also, every single teacher there knows my son by name which is either a testament to how genuinely attentive this staff is, or a sign that he's made quite the impression for reasons I'm too afraid to ask about. Jury's still out on whether that reflects better on him or on me. The whole team is warm, attentive, communicative, and most shockingly actually shows up and does their jobs well, day after day. No mystery poultry incidents, Just consistently excellent care with the most caring teachers. Shout out to Emily, Isa, Miss Rynn, Sheldean + Sara!!! The best girls to help ease this working moms mind, and makes balancing daycare/working mom life ....manageable which feels illegal to say out loud about a daycare. They are truly like family and I know they love my son like he is their own. Jokes aside, I'm genuinely so grateful for this school. Knowing my son is safe, loved, and looked after by people who truly care makes all the difference chicken-wrangling shenanigans aside (we're still working on that one, kidding). Emily, and her whole team have made this the easiest, best decision for our family, and I couldn't recommend them more.

  Amazing staff from educators to administrators! I know my nephew is safe and cared for every day he is there! Excited for his younger sister to be enrolled soon!

  This school seemed perfect, like it had all its ducks lined in a row when it came to children’s growth and development. I signed my son up for 3 days a week to get him prepared for kindergarten and more socialized since we just moved to the state a year ago. He already had a hard time with the move so I knew school would be the best option to distract him from such a change. I soon realized this was probably the worst school for a child like him. 2 days… this school decided to give up on my son. He is 4 years old and was in the pre-k program. They would make false statements about my child. They would say one thing then change their words and say another. I met with the manager or whoever it was. It was always someone different, and tell me that my child’s behavior needed to be managed. As a parent I took that responsibility and did everything I could to fix the minor mistakes my child was making. As a child who is adjusting to a new school, it is very common for them to showcase themselves in a manner that is not who they are. My child was doing things in school that he would never do at home. That’s when I realized something or someone at the school was triggering him and no one was helping him the way he needed. As a school that I would be paying thousands for, I would hope that teachers and staff would be capable of handling a 4 YEAR OLD CHILD and their emotions. Another striking comment the staff made was that a parent apparently complained about my child. How would that be if my kid was at the school for 4-5 hours and only went 2 days?? I assumed they were talking about my child with another parent which is very odd. As a mother who is already struggling in a new city with no village, that was very disheartening. They tried to point my son like he was a bad child and didn’t deserve to be there. When in reality, they couldn’t handle a child who had big emotions and needed more attention. He’s going from a home where he is with me all day to a school where I’m not there for 4-5 hours. Why call yourself a school if you can’t offer it to all kids? And why act like you’re so welcoming to all children when they clearly pick favorites and leave the ones they don’t like in the dust. Like I told them, I’m not a raising a robot so don’t treat my son like such. Unfortunately that’s exactly how they treated him. They expected him to basically be perfect and not have any meltdowns or incidents. Mind you my son never hit any children or teachers. He never swore, he never put anyone in danger. It was a sudden “sorry we have to un-enroll your child” just a few days before they also said “we like your child and we are going to do everything we can to help him adjust”. If your child is in any way neurodivergent, going through a huge life change, on the spectrum/autistic, this is the LAST place you should bring them. They do discriminate.

  We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Primrose! From the very beginning of the enrollment process, the teachers and administrators have been incredibly welcoming, helpful, and supportive. They made the transition seamless and have continued to go above and beyond every single day. The daily updates and communication give us so much peace of mind, and it’s clear how much the staff genuinely cares about each child. Knowing our son is in such a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment means the world to our family. We are truly grateful for everything the teachers and administration do and feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this wonderful community. We highly recommend them to any family looking for a place where their child will be loved, encouraged, and supported!
