As first-time parents who relocated to Nashville when I was 20 weeks pregnant, the search for daycare was daunting. Any parent will tell you—waitlists are no joke. I was already on ten in our previous city, so the anxiety was real. But when we reached out to Hickory KinderCare, everything changed.
From the very first phone call, they were warm, responsive, and willing to work with our full-time schedules to arrange a tour—no small feat. During our visit, we were shown around by a lovely young woman who, to our delight, was also the Infant Room teacher—exactly where we’d be starting. She sold us instantly. The facility was clean, bright, and most importantly, felt safe. Meeting Brianna, the infant teacher, sealed the deal—her warmth, professionalism, and passion for children radiated from the moment we walked in.
When our baby arrived (a bit early!), I called to confirm our spot, and without hesitation, they picked up right where we left off. Mary Ann helped adjust our start date and made us feel like they were just as excited to welcome our little one as we were to begin.
Dropping off your infant for the first time is truly one of the hardest things a new parent does. You’re adjusting to so much—new routines, returning to work, navigating postpartum life—and yet Hickory KinderCare made that transition seamless. I never doubted for a second that my baby was in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. He is thriving, and I absolutely credit his early development in large part to the amazing curriculum and care he receives each day.
Yes, I was initially nervous about the location next to a gas station and storage facility—but that concern quickly melted away. You barely notice it, and their security measures are top-notch. The communication is clear and consistent—whether it’s updates on curriculum, daily activities, or anything they feel is important to share.
The KinderCare app has been a lifesaver. It lets me track my son’s feedings, naps, diaper changes, and even sends sweet pictures throughout the day. While I do wish there were cameras in the rooms, the transparency and care from the staff more than makes up for it.
My son is about to move up to the next room at six months, and I know I’ll cry leaving his current teacher behind. That’s how much trust and connection we’ve built here.
I can’t recommend Hickory KinderCare enough. The staff, the structure, the communication, the price—everything has exceeded our expectations. If you’re a new parent navigating this world for the first time, do yourself a favor and schedule a tour. You’ll know you’ve found the right place the moment you walk through the door.
