- KLKatharine LaidlawAug 29, 20241.0I booked a first piano lesson for my 11-year old daughter. Owner called me the day of her lesson because was not available. Said he would call me once he had determined a good fit for her. Didn't call back for 2 weeks. I called again, spoke with a customer service representative who paired.my daughter with another instructor. Owner called back the next day to say he didn't think this instructor was a good fit either. I asked him for another option and he said he had none. Basically canceled the appointment and any future business for what reason, I don't know but could have been because I that my daughter was neurodivergent, (though sweet, polite, highly verbal and eager to please) and would do best with an instructor with patience and had a good sense of humor. Is that asking too much? I don' think so. This was flat-out discrimination to a child with special needs (albeit a highly functioning one).

We've had some bad luck with some turnover of teachers and having to get acquainted with new teachers, but the kids have liked all of the instructors that they've had.
