NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN. NOT SAFE FOR LGBTQ+. DANGEROUS. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CAMPUS. THIS PLACE IS A LAWSUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN. If another student threatens to hit you or shoot you with a gun and you report it to administration they will lie to your face about this being the first incident with that student, they will treat you like you’re hysterical, and you’re the one that is being the problem. And when you tell your fellow students your story, they will tell you about how the staff are sexually assaulting the students here, how a staff member was kicked to death by another student, and staff are covering it up. This is not a safe or welcoming space for women. This is not a safe space for anybody. This institution is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The front-office employees of AIM and Centura College have reams of typed and handwritten reports about bad behavior from students and staff alike and they will gaslight you into thinking they are actually professional. Save your money. Do not go here. I was really good at this. Straight A’s. Very professional. Didn’t miss class or turn in any of my assignments late. But I dropped out because another student threatened to kill me with the gun he had in his car trunk on campus and AIM administrative staff (specifically Stephanie and Kassandra, these women will look you in the eye and lie to your face) and Centura College corporate didn’t care or do anything or respond to any of my emails. I’m now in student loan debt for absolutely no reason and a career I was really excited is now no longer obtainable. A friend of mine attended the AWAM conference in Dallas this year (2025) and told me that The Aviation Institute of Maintenance spent a LOT of time talking about how to attract more women to the field. Maybe start by taking threats to their safety seriously.

I’m gonna be completely honest. This place is kind of a waste of time. You’d be better off attending a the other aviation tech school in Virginia called liberty or something like that. They lie about everything just to get you to start and the debt is astronomical for us poor ppl. Majority of the staff doesn’t know what’s going on and the career person is disrespectful and unprofessional. I’m already attending and realizing now that I’ve wasted my money coming here so I have no choice but to finish but do try to stay away. None of the staff take their jobs serious besides maybe 1-2 people. Everybody else just jokes and flirts all day and interrupts your class. The class has a huge gap in knowledge pertaining to what you need to know to pass the FAA classes. Nobody is on schedule with anything, they don’t provide you with any tools or offer a good deal on them. They don’t care for you at all and the $5.3 million dollars they made off of my class starting is clearly going to nothing since the teachers can leave early if they please in order to have “golf tournaments” at top golf down the street. I would appreciate if the school was a little more serious about the education they lied to me about when I was touring the school but I guess it’s my fault for not looking at the reviews first. Thanks for stealing my money and locking me into a huge debt AIM.
