My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better first year at Chesterbrook Academy in Ellis Preserve for our almost 4-year-old son. From day one, the principal Ms.Alexa and assistant principals have gone above and beyond to create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for all the children. They are always attentive, approachable, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth and happiness, which gives us so much peace of mind as parents. His teacher, Ms. Trinnae, is truly exceptional. Our son absolutely loves her, and it’s easy to see why. She is patient, nurturing, and passionate about what she does. We’ve seen firsthand how much our son has learned and how much he has grown because of her dedication. We highly recommend this school to any family looking for a supportive, caring, and enriching environment for their child.

We started at Chesterbrook this past fall - we have one in older toddler room and one in kindergarten. We have had a wonderful experience here- the teachers are warm, kind, interested in the kids. Specifically, Ms. Kalina and Ms. Zakia are so great with our son. The leadership team and staff are reliable and communicate very well which is sometimes hard to find in daycare centers. We came here from several hours away but have been through 3 other centers prior to this plagued with staffing issues and abrupt closures etc. This school is consistent and reliable which is essential for us. We chose kindergarten here for our son because it is full day and his teacher Ms. Donovan has been here for several years - she is enthusiastic, engaging and wonderful as is Ms. Angela. We could not be happier. We also love the abundance of activities to enrich their days available through the school. Thank you!

I can’t even fully express how happy we are with our experience at Chesterbrook Ellis Preserve. The care and education we know our children are receiving is top notch. The teachers are so caring and become a part of your village that is so critical in raising kids. Every one in the building knows you, your kids and the environment is always very warm and welcoming. The admin team does an excellent job of building community. If you are considering CBA- you will not regret sending your kids here!

***DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE*** I don’t post things like this lightly, but I feel a responsibility to share our experience in case it helps another child or family. Chesterbrook Academy – Newtown Square has been the worst childcare experience of my 13 years as a mom. In our experience, the environment was cold, harsh, and deeply unsettling. When children are sad or crying, they are placed in a so-called “cuddle corner” and intentionally ignored—no one is allowed to speak to or comfort them until they stop crying. Teachers follow a strict “no response” approach, meaning kids who are screaming, throwing, or clearly distressed are simply ignored. The level of rudeness, judgment, and lack of warmth from staff has honestly left me bewildered. My child came home crying many days, saying the teachers yelled at them—and I personally witnessed teachers yelling at children right in front of me. Leaving your child in someone else’s care is already incredibly hard. You expect compassion, patience, and basic emotional safety. That was not our experience here. I can’t speak to other Chesterbrook locations, but Chesterbrook Academy in Newtown Square is one I would strongly urge parents to avoid. If sharing this helps even one child have a safer, more loving experience elsewhere, it’s worth it

My son started at Chesterbrook in October of last year, & I have never been happier with his care. All his teachers were super attentive, communicative, & welcoming! They provided such a warm environment where my son thrived! You can truly tell that each teacher there loves their job & all the children in their care.
