My son has been attending KinderCare Hatboro for the past year in the preschool classroom, & I am so happy with his experience there. We are always greeted with a warm welcome at drop off & pick up. The teachers are kind & patient with the kids. The room is bright & spacious, with lots of various play stations. Kids are encouraged to participate in group activities, but they get individualized attention, as well. The curriculum includes a new topic each week. There are excellent enrichment activities daily. My son’s language development has blossomed here. I appreciate their hot meal lunch program and snacks that are provided. He’s been so much happier here than at his previous daycare. He often doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day, because he’s enjoying his time there so much. We feel like we’re part of a KinderCare family at this location. Highly recommend!

The tour with the director was "great". Tours tend to be great if there is a head count goal in mind. I had shared with her the major things I was looking for in a new daycare for my son. She reassured me he was in good hands. The staff in the infant room were great! As soon as he transitioned to the toddler room things went downhill. The ratios were off daily and not by a little bit. The classroom always appeared to be chaotic. The teacher would be either changing a diaper or assisting one child while kids free roamed the room. I witnessed kids getting pushed by other kids, kids snatching toys and once two toddlers were pushing each other. Absolutely no redirection or support in navigating through the big feelings they were experiencing which caused these behaviors. Kids were always at the door trying to get out and crying. Staff didn't seem happy, and barely said goodmorning at drop off. They just seemed burned out and exhausted and this most definitely translated to the quality of care my son received. I witnessed a staff member in the toddler room manhandle two kids. I was told that after the first situation that she would receive training to correct the behavior and then not even a week later witnessed her being rough again with another toddler on the playground. The toddlers in my sons classroom along with him had constant runny noses which happens. But I can't even tell you the number of times I picked up my son and either snot was actively dripping into his mouth or it was dried up all over his nose, cheeks and upper lip because it had been there for awhile. This happened to other kids too! After this, I lost all faith and hope in the center. There were just too many less than ideal instances that occurred in the toddler room and I just didn't feel like my son was safe and well cared for. My son came home with tons of art each week but activities like reading weren't prioritized. I remember at pick up one day, I walked in to the toddler A classroom to get my son. The ratio was off as usual, there was music playing and the teacher was in the middle of the classroom singing and dancing. She was kicking her legs up like she was in a marching band and her arms followed. She wasn't even circulating the room, dancing with the kids or attempting to hold their hands to get them engaged and excited about the activity. She stayed in one spot. Not one child was paying attention. They're toddlers and have short attention spans! When you do activities like this there needs to be strategy around how to promote engagement. Some of the toddlers were over near the window whining, and others just playing in the room. Wouldn't you believe as soon as my son was checked out a note was submitted in the app that the toddlers "Had fun singing and dancing." I was appalled! Doing an activity without finding ways to interest the kids and to get their attention doesn't make it an activity that they participated in or an effective one at that. Then it made me think of how many activities flow like this and then they add it to the app with the illusion that the kids participated. After giving this center time, this just didn't seem to be the right fit for my son. My son has been attending a new daycare and it's like night and day compared to this center. He's not hysterically crying at drop off, he's not in a rush to leave at pick up, the toddlers don't look miserable in his classroom, ratio is appropriate, staff are always happy and speak, they do so many more interactive activities that help with language and other critical milestones/development, the food selection is better with less processed food selections and he's much happier! This center can take some tips!
