  We’ve been so happy with our experience at KinderCare. I was nervous to start daycare, but the team quickly felt like family. Our son’s primary infant teacher is amazing — he absolutely adores her, and it’s clear how much she cares. The center director is fantastic, and the whole staff is warm, welcoming, and trustworthy. It’s been a wonderful addition to our “village”, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of this community!

  Our 16 month old has gone to the Downtown KinderCare since he was three months old. We had a wonderful experience in the infant room. It was small and the babies were well loved. I always felt more like I was dropping my little man off with family; they welcomed him with open arms. We are loving the toddler program, teachers, and the school. I really appreciate the pictures we receive throughout the day and that the teachers have sent pictures of the classroom. This helps make it feel like we get to “see” the class. It’s great. The drop-off & pick-up procedures are easy and professional. Plus, Miss Dee is always there with a big / warm smile... even when I’m telling her we forgot shoes at home. It’s obvious that the center is serious about the precautions necessary to keep the kiddos and staff safe; I appreciate that. The classroom itself is great. I can tell my little man is learning/growing. I think he sings songs at home, so I’m guessing there must be some songs they sing throughout the day? He often sounds like he’s trying to sing something (just in baby language, but he surely knows what he’s saying!). It’s been incredible watching him grow and blossom while in the toddler class.

  We have been at the downtown Portland Kindercare location since our son was around 5-6 months old. As an educator myself, I was very nervous about sharing the care and development of my son. Currently, we now have our second child at Kindercare and we couldn't be happier. The teachers provide a nurturing and engaging environment for them, while always discussing things with us in an extremely collaborative way, while keeping our children's happiness and joy at the forefront. They provide nutritious snacks, along with STEM (science technology engineering and math) activities, and a general curriculum to promote literacy, math, and social development, and they even provide calming spaces and emotional development activities which is the new practice to provide social and emotional learning in schools. while still provide room for a lot of structured and unstructured play and creativity time for the kids. They even practice fire and earthquake drills to ensure they are prepared, highly trained staff with their own professional development, and winter performances. The bottom line is that we trust that our children are in good hands.
