RHMS has a rigorous academic curriculum that ensured that both my children were well prepared when it came to to put through applications for continued studies elsewhere. Our family truly appreciates the full hearted attention and dedication that all the faculty gave our children through the years. We will always have fond memories of our time there.

**Warning: this is a testament to only my experience, as I know others from different years who do not feel this way.**
I feel that the reviews here are all written by former/current staff and parents, so I decided to write an honest one from the perspective of a former student. Academically speaking, I'd say that Grade 9 (despite being in IB) was easier than my final year at RHMS.
I can attest much of my academic success in high school to the foundation they provided me with.
They did what they are set out to do— educate at an accelerated pace, and provide you with the tangible resources necessary to foster academic growth. That being said, environmental resources is where I suffered greatly.
I did not like the social environment at RHMS. A large majority (not all) of the students were so entitled they did not feel it necessary to respect other students, staff or facilities.
As a result I spent most of my elementary school experience with kids who I hated, bullied for not having this entitled attitude, and hating myself. It wasn't till high school that I met individuals who were extremely humble, grounded, understood the value of a dollar, and didn't talk to you from some high horse. Could the school have done anything? I'm not sure. They couldn't raise these kids, thats their parent's job.
What they should've done, however, is provided children with professional guidance, and assistance programs (many of which are available at my high school). Many of my classmates and I may have benefited from such early intervention and assistance (especially those I know now that struggle now tremendously with mental health).
At my high school, the resources— from guidance to consistent access to therapy and mental health resources, to the absolute zero tolerance policy for bullying and the ability, to anonymously report (it seems as if nothing is anonymous at RHMS) make the environment so much better.
I've found that kids that are struggling become spoon-fed rather than professionally assisted by someone who is qualified to do so.
Yes, the resources and academics were exemplary, but social environments and support are what made high school better for me.
Regardless, my parents did what they thought was best, and I appreciate it, but do not feel as if this private school is what will make or break your child's future.
