For over 40 years Primrose preschools has been a trusted household name and a nationally recognized daycare provider committed to forging a path that leads to a brighter future for all children.
We are so grateful to have found Primrose School for our daughter. From the very beginning, it’s been clear that the staff truly love and care for her, and that sense of warmth and security means everything to our family. She looks forward to going each day, and we can see how comfortable and happy she is in their care.
The educational side is just as impressive. The curriculum is strong and age‑appropriate, and we’ve watched her grow both academically and socially. It’s obvious that the teachers put a lot of intention and effort into every activity.
This is a truly top‑notch program that combines a loving environment with an excellent education. We couldn’t be more thankful for the impact they’ve had on our daughter and our family, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high‑quality care and learning for their child.

BLUF: If your child is struggling with behavioral challenges, Primrose School of Yukon is not the right environment.
It has taken me some time to write this review due to our deeply disappointing experience with Primrose School of Yukon. I enrolled my twin boys with high hopes after waiting nearly two years on their waitlist. We truly believed we had finally found the right preschool for them.
I want to be transparent: one of my sons is challenging and has been working through behavioral issues. As parents, we never expected the school to manage this alone, so we sought help from a behavioral therapist right away. I kept his teachers informed about the strategies that were successful for us at home. While they were open to hearing them, we were repeatedly told that many of these techniques could not be implemented due to school policies.
When behaviors escalated, we met with the school administrator and requested to collaborate more closely by involving our therapist. However, the school declined every form of participation from the therapist—no classroom observation, no attendance at meetings, not even listening in to discussions.
Ultimately, the school suspended my 3-year-old for two weeks because they were unable to manage him. They informed us they would only charge us one week of tuition, even though he was required to stay home for both weeks.
When he returned, they moved him to an older classroom, despite being fully aware that major changes are a significant trigger for him. Not surprisingly, this made things worse. My husband and I received calls multiple times a week as early as 9–10 AM demanding we pick him up within 30 minutes—while we work 35 minutes away.
We eventually realized that their policies and “one-size-fits-all” approach left no room to support children who don’t fit their mold. The staff simply is not equipped or trained to help children with behavioral needs beyond the most typical range.
For families whose children need a more flexible, supportive, or collaborative environment—especially one that allows coordination with outside professionals—I would not recommend Primrose School of Yukon.

We've had a wonderful experience with Primrose Day Care! The staff are incredibly nurturing, attentive, and truly passionate about early childhood development. From the moment we walked in, we felt a strong sense of care and professionalism.
Our child has grown so much socially, emotionally, and academically since starting here. The curriculum is well-rounded, blending structured learning with play-based activities that keep the children engaged and excited to learn every day. The classrooms are clean, safe, and filled with age-appropriate materials that encourage exploration.
We especially appreciate the regular communication from teachers and staff—whether it’s daily updates, photos, or developmental progress reports, we always feel in the loop and confident that our child is in great hands.
