University of Medicine and Health Sciences

The University of Medicine and Health Sciences (UMHS), is a private Medical school with its Basic Science campus located in Saint Kitts in the Caribbean, its Pre-Clinical campus in Portland, ME, and its administrative headquarters here in New York City that houses administrative functions including admissions, bursar, registrar, academic and student affairs, financial aid, clinical placement, and office of the President. Our MD program is a 10-semester course of study including 4 semesters of Basic Sciences, followed by 1 pre-clinical transitional semester, and 78 weeks of clinical clerkships. UMHS students are qualified to sit for US and Canadian medical licensing exams and gain residency and licensure throughout both countries.
