KinderCare has made being a first time parent very easy. While I had a lot of anxiety about starting our infant in daycare when I went back to work, KinderCare has made the transition so easy. Our teacher, Ms. Carly, is great and so attentive with our little nugget. She is so friendly and is always so prompt with updates. KinderCare makes communication so easy and there are multiple updates everyday on our parenting app. I also love that we get a copy of the curriculum at the beginning of every month so we can follow along and reinforce her learning from school at home as well.

We have had such a wonderful experience with this daycare. Our son started attending last July, and the growth we’ve seen in him since then has been amazing. In just a few months he was walking into class with his head high and ready for the day!
One of the biggest surprises has been how consistently they are able to get him to take naps. That alone speaks volumes about the calm, structured, and nurturing environment they provide.
We also really appreciate the amazing food options. The chef offers such great variety, and I love that they’re always open to suggestions and feedback. It makes us feel heard and included as parents.
The crafts and fun activities they do together are so thoughtful and creative. It’s obvious that a lot of care and planning goes into each day. And we are especially grateful for his teacher, Miss Jessica. She has been such a positive influence and clearly cares deeply about the children in her class.
We feel so thankful to have found this daycare and would absolutely recommend it to other families.

We have been at this daycare since it opened and we are so happy with the care our child receives! He has learned so much since staring at KinderCare. We have noticed such a huge difference since switching schools. Their curriculum is top notch. The daily notes and photos of their activities throughout the day makes us feel at ease. The staff has been incredible. Ms. Berkeley, Ms. Kirby, and Ms. Lacey are some of the most kind and amazing teachers we have had the pleasure of knowing. We are so happy we made the switch!

If you are a working parent relying on childcare assistance, be very cautious before enrolling at this location.
I am a single mother who recently lost my business, and I am very familiar with how childcare assistance and subsidy programs work. My experience with KinderCare in Spanish Springs has been extremely disappointing, degrading, and unfair.
When I enrolled my daughter in November, I was very clear about my situation and my childcare assistance. I was explicitly told that my care would be fully covered, with no additional weekly fees and no enrollment fee. At that time, the center did not even have a permanent director—only an acting director—yet they still accepted my child and my subsidy without issue.
Problems began when it was time to renew my subsidy paperwork. Certificates of payment were issued to KinderCare week after week, yet somehow a balance of over $1,600 dating back to November appeared on my account. This balance did not reflect the payments made by Children’s Cabinet.
Once the new director stepped in, I was told I owed this amount and that moving forward I would need to pay an additional $140 per week for fees supposedly not covered by my subsidy. This was never disclosed upfront.
How does a single mother on a fixed income—earning close to what their teachers make—suddenly come up with an extra $140 per week? I asked for solutions: reducing days, adjusting care, anything. Every answer was no.
As a former business owner, I believe businesses should honor what they explain to families at enrollment. I live and work directly across the street from this center. I used to pick my daughter up on my lunch break during swing shifts. Now, because of their actions, I am forced to drive all the way into Old Sparks, creating even more hardship.
What made this experience even more disturbing was how quietly and deliberately we were pushed out:
• First, I was told my daughter had “artwork” and was given all of it at once
• Then I was told to take her blanket home “to wash,” even though the center normally washes blankets
• Yet they kept all her diapers and wipes
It felt like a silent dismissal.
The new director is extremely skilled at misrepresentation, but I saw through it. There was no way to stay enrolled—if I paid the extra fees, my subsidy would penalize me for “having the money,” and if I didn’t, we were forced out. They knew this. It felt like ammunition.
This experience felt discriminatory based on income, and I strongly believe KinderCare should never have accepted families on Children’s Cabinet assistance if they had no intention of honoring it long-term. I know of at least three other families who were treated similarly—allowed in temporarily, then pushed out.
It’s heartbreaking that guaranteed funding from assistance programs is turned away, while families in need are made to feel small and unwanted. Money and greed clearly ruled over care and compassion here.

Thank you for the response. However, this appears to be a generic message and does not address the concerns raised in my original review. The issue was not a lack of communication or misunderstanding. I had multiple conversations with management and was explicitly told there was nothing KinderCare could do to accommodate my child despite confirmed Children’s Cabinet assistance.
This decision was final and left my family without childcare in our residential area. Referring families to a customer service number after the fact does not change the outcome or the impact. My review was shared to inform other working parents relying on assistance to be cautious before enrolling, as this was not an isolated or unresolved issue.
