With AI threatening almost all desk jobs, aviation maintenance is a field about as AI proof as you can get. It is hands on, highly skilled AND it requires FAA mechanic certification. Like any post secondary education for adults, you need to take the initiative to learn to succeed both in training and in the real world. Challenging students to do that in an imperfect world is not a bug. It is a feature.

Currently enrolled in this program, the institution only cares about enrolling more students to make money. They don’t have proper training equipment. None of the equipment in the hanger is up-to-date or works for the most part, upon registering for the program, they said it was 60% hands-on 40% bookwork in reality. It’s about 80% bookwork 20% hands-on in which you’ll be teaching yourself reading your 8083 on your own time. It’s practically a self taught program with the exception, there are a few very good instructors who actually do care about the students education. You can send a message to student registrars Miss. Duendaly. They won’t even respond to your messages or your concerns. The program is set up so that you’re not able to actually test out before completing the program because there’s 16 blocks 11 of which are air frame blocks and they don’t go on order so typically you’re not able to test out before you graduate. Do your homework on this institution personally I wouldn’t recommend it if you really want to get your A&P in Las Vegas it’s the only place to do so. You will be teaching yourself I want to express that this is not a typical college environment. It’s not worth $54,000 tuition fees AT ALL! IF YOU CAN FIND SOMEWHERE ELESE TO GO TO SCHOOL. II could go on and on about how bad this program is, not open this campus I have friends that attended other campus in Chicago and Jersey both said the exact same thing about AIM. Luckily for me I’m almost done just a couple more blocks left, you’ll have to find a way to laugh to keep from crying. It’s not all doom and gloom considering this is an FFA approved program with an on site DME for testing. Besides the few instructors that do care, the front office could care less, you’ll send messages/emails that will go unanswered. The registar office is a complete joke, the program director, director of education they could all care less there will be lip service but no real action or concern. Just excuses, that aren’t good enough to account for the 54k you are sending. Also, this is not a hands on experience all books which you’ll be reading at home, PowerPoints and YouTube videos.

This school is a scam!! They will tell you all kinds of stuff to get you to sign up then afterwards it's just a diploma mill. They teach you using aircraft that is from the 60s and older. The turn over rate for teachers is extremely HIGH. My husband spent most his class time watching YouTube videos the teacher would play for the class.
