  My experience at Rasmussen University has been very positive from the beginning. While every institution has its challenges, Rasmussen provides excellent resources and many clinical opportunities that help students connect theory with real nursing practice. I am grateful for the knowledge and support I received throughout the program. The instructors are passionate and dedicated to student success. I especially appreciate Mark (Dean at Rasmussen University Fargo campus) for his leadership. Michelle and Ardee (nursing instructor at Rasmussen University Fargo campus) and other instructors who were my instructor and an inspiring mentor. The Fargo staff are professional, supportive, and always willing to help students succeed.

  Dean Mark Alvarez has been extremely supportive and dedicated to student success. He consistently makes time to answer questions, address concerns, and even tutor students when needed. He stays actively involved in what students are learning, helping guide us through challenging topics and ensuring we have the tools to succeed. He has been a great help to me and students in making sure we succeed. His efforts to improve simulations, classroom learning, and clinical experiences show his genuine commitment to students. His leadership and innovative approach have made a very positive impact on the student experience. He also goes to clinical sites to make sure students are getting the meaningful and appropriate clinical experience. Thank you Dean Mark Alvarez for your leadership.

  I want to highlight the exceptional leadership of Dean Alvarez. This nursing program is rigorous and challenging. But the staff/instructors/and Dean Alvarez are approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in student success. The instructors and Dean Alvarez consistently communicate clearly, listen to student concerns, and advocate for resources and improvements that directly support student success. You can tell they care about maintaining a strong program and creating an environment where students feel heard and encouraged. The instructors are knowledgeable and dedicated, clinical placements are meaningful, and the curriculum focuses on building safe, confident, and competent nurses. I’ve grown so much here and feel well‑prepared for my career and real‑world practice. I am grateful for the guidance, stability, and professionalism provided by the Dean and the faculty.

  The instructors do not create their own exams, which makes it difficult to know what to expect when preparing. They function more as guides than traditional teachers, so students need to be prepared to do a significant amount of self-teaching. In my class, over 70% of students failed one of the exams, yet this did not seem to prompt any changes or additional support. There are also NOOOOO opportunities for test retakes or extra credit, which can make it challenging for students to recover from a poor exam performance.

  Rasmussen university has one of the best Nursing program in the Fargo /Moorhead area. Admission is very easy. Timothy held my hands every step of the way and provided resources to get all my immunization done and ready for the quarter. I Graduted 2024 would highly recommend.!
