  There are some great teachers there, for example Mrs. Becky is awesome she is in the older 2 room. Removed my son after he got hand foot and mouth from the daycare, the policies and procedures for infectious disease does nothing but spread sicken. Even when the director of the daycare knows your child caught HFM from them you still must pay. I don’t like that, I paid for a week and he went for 2 days because he got sick, never received a reimbursement. Then when you leave this daycare you still must pay two weeks worth of tuition, and I was not given my discount either for those weeks. Don’t take your child here, they care about money not the children or staff.

  The director of this school was placed on administrative leave on Monday. Parents were not told for two days, then only vague responses such as he is out of business. Parents were left to question and worry about their children here. The district leader sent an email that she was unavailable and would at the school on Friday, lending no concern or comfort.

  I do not recommend this daycare center due to the poor leadership and poor decisions made by the Director, Janet Leigh-Dantzler. Overall, Janet provides the bare minimum and ignores glaring errors that have the potential to harm children. I recommend choosing a different child care center for your child. Here are the details of my experience: I reported to the state that KinderCare fed my daughter a pancake (that had eggs in it) and she’s allergic to eggs. I looked at the state report and Janet denied that it happened. This is a representation of my experience with her and with Kindercare as a whole. I have the entire experience documented including their phone call to me and the notes from the KinderCare app. I cannot believe someone caring for children can make such bad choices. I also reported a teacher grabbing my daughter’s arm and aggressively pulling her forward after seeing this with my own eyes when I came to pick her up, and the state reports there is no proof so nothing can be done. Additionally, Janet said she inspected my daughter’s two arms (which she didn’t) and that she spoke with the teacher who denied the incident. So, the teacher said she didn’t do it, and even though I saw it with my own eyes - nothing can be done. YIKES!!!!

  Updated Sept 2023: We ADORE Mr Malcolm, Ms Vanessa and Mr J. More importantly, my son admires them SO much and truly values their opinion of him. We feel so blessed to have had them for both PK and TK and they truly deserve any recognition awards that Kindercare offers. I would strongly advise Kindercare Corporate to do what it takes to ensure they remain at Kindercare Wendell Falls. THANK YOU Vanessa, Malcolm and Jay!!!!! Review from a year ago: Kindercare at Wendell Falls is an amazing centre. They truly care for each child and are a great support system for parents. They did a stand up job during the past few years of hardship with clear guidelines for the students and parents. It is an immaculate facility with very experienced staff who provide an excellent early education. I cannot recommend them enough.
