My son started in Ms. Kiema's preschool class in October 2024. We transitioned from another daycare facility in the area because of a lack of care, structure, and a host of other reasons. The transition to a new school is not an easy one, but the Ms. Kiema and Ms Enyiah along with the preschool teachers in the other classroom (Ms Sun and Ms Bri) made it nothing short of amazing. My baby has been in daycare fulltime since he was 10weeks old. Drop off has always been a challenging time for me, but not anymore. My son is ALWAYS welcomed with a positive greeting that is personal, warm, and inviting. Even during the busy drop off window, I have NEVER walked into a chaotic scene that is lacking order and structure, as was our experience at our previous facility.
Should I get started on the facility Director, Ms. Shaneek, and Assistant Directors, Ms. Bayley and Ms. Audrey? These are probably three of the sweetest and caring people I've met. Without fail, Ms. Shaneek has a presence within the facility that is felt when you walk through the doors. She never misses an opportunity to greet you, welcome you in, and provides constant updates on the school activities and happenings. I rarely see her tucked away in her office, but rather, see her out bouncing from classroom to classroom (in her bubbly fashion) providing support to her staff. Something as simple as a concern over a sweatshirt that didn't come home is handled with a level of attention that provides reassurance that the school, and everyone in it, has high expectations of themselves and the care they provide.
What about the facility? I've never walked into this school and the bathrooms been filthy or the classroom been in obvious need of repairs, paint, etc. They have ample outdoor play space that I love and inside is an adorable, age appropriate sized gym (with basketball hoops and flooring to boot). You don't have to worry about your child being cooped in a tiny room all day.
One of the other things that made this facility my top choice are the snacks/meals that are provided. Ms. Shirley provides a breakfast snack, balanced lunch, and an afternoon snack. This is a deal breaker for me because my little guy is the pickiest eater that ever existed lol. It is so hard to expose him to a bunch of different things without buying food just to be thrown straight in the trash. Being at a facility that provides lunch, relieves so much stress from a working mom's plate. No lunch has to be packed! How incredible is that? Also, the added benefit of my son being exposed to different foods with his friends who may be willing to try something he typically wouldn't, encourages him to try more things. Guess what else, when I expressed the difficulties I have getting my sweet boy to eat at home, Ms. Kiema will occasionally think to send a video of something my guy is practically licking off the plate. Talk about immediate and mindful feedback! A teacher of a dozen toddlers has her work cut out for her and yet, she takes the time to be thoughtful. This may be overlooked by some, but not me!
I have no motivation for writing such a rave review other than the fact that this facility has delivered above and beyond my expectations. I want this review to be out there for anyone considering a new daycare which is a difficult choice. Falls Lake KinderCare and the staff is not just a daycare facility for us, they're family and we love them tremendously for caring for and teaching our greatest gift. I'm blessed to feel such a sense of security when I drop my son off everyday.
