My kiddo started knowledge beginnings in May of 2025. We have had a very positive experience. All the staff have been absolutely wonderful, hard working, dedicated and overall amazing between taking care of all their kids, getting back to parents in a reasonable amount of time with messages, all while keeping a big smile on their faces. My kiddo has had a couple random instances like a bee sting and everyone has been proactive in letting parents know asap, solving the issues, helping my kiddo, and keeping things all under control. I definitely recommend Knowledge Beginnings if you’re looking for a safe, reliable, daycare for your kiddo.

Posting for parents researching this location—please read before enrolling. I want to be clear that my concerns are specific to the period following a change in leadership. When the previous director, Sara, was running this center, it was a phenomenal daycare. My son began his childcare experience here under her leadership, and the staff at that time did an excellent job supporting him. The environment was stable, professional, and child-centered. It was not until approximately August–September 2025, after Sara left and leadership changed, that the center began to deteriorate. Since that transition, nearly all staff and many families left, and my son is one of the only remaining children from that original group. This review is based solely on the decline in leadership and practices that occurred after that change. — I am sharing my experience specifically with the leadership at this location. My two-year-old son has documented speech and communication delays and is actively receiving Early Intervention services through Rochester Public Schools, including on-site support at the center. These supports were put in place to help him succeed socially and emotionally in a group setting. Despite this, the director chose to characterize his age-appropriate behaviors in an alarming and exaggerated manner, implying that staff and other children were “in danger.” Labeling a toddler in this way reflects a troubling lack of developmental understanding and professionalism. During a scheduled Early Intervention visit, the provider arrived to find my child isolated from his peers while other children were grouped together. No clear or appropriate explanation was provided. Isolating a child with communication challenges is counterproductive and emotionally harmful. Additionally, this center appears to have a significant overlap between staff and enrolled children. To my knowledge, my child and one infant were the only enrolled children not related to employees. This raises serious concerns about objectivity, favoritism, and leadership decision-making—particularly when disciplinary or exclusionary actions are taken against non-staff children. The concern here is not with all classroom staff. One of the two staff members assigned to my son’s classroom is also the parent of the child reportedly involved in the incident that led to this decision. That individual expressed personal concerns regarding her own child’s safety, and those concerns appear to have influenced leadership’s decision to remove my son from care. The other staff member assigned to the classroom—who has an established, positive relationship with my child—was not part of this decision-making process. The issue lies with leadership and the involvement of a staff member who had a direct personal interest in the outcome, creating a clear conflict of interest that should never drive expulsion decisions in a childcare setting. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage families to ask detailed questions about leadership practices, inclusion policies, and how children with developmental delays are supported at this location.

The best! Trustworthy and kind staff who we trust and our child loves! They go above and beyond. Our child has learned so much in her classrooms, including incredible manners and ability to play extremely well with others. 10/10 recommend!

Finding a daycare where you feel comfortable leaving your kids is hard but with the teachers and management at KB, they make it easy! We had a bad first experience with a different daycare and our daughters teachers went above and beyond to build trust and make sure we were comfortable leaving her with them! Would recommend to any family.

I've sent 3 kids to this place...absolutely love it! My children were all safe, had fun/wonderful times, were loved by the employees, mentally stimulated, etc. I hate the fact that I have to leave because I'm moving out of town! Send your kids here...you can't go wrong!
