Absolutely love KinderCare. My two kids last day was today and as soon as they can go back they will. Due to unfortunate circumstances we did have to leave. And I cried the whole time. My son absolutely loves everyone there. Nicole especially. She did such an amazing job with him and made h into the little independent man he already is. My daughter is always so happy and she has her favorite teachers being 9 months old and those girls in each classroom absolutely took care of my little ones. I never had to worry if they were in good hands. If I noticed something I spoke with kelly or Danielle and the issue was handled immediately. I would never have a doubt in my mind to send those kids back to KinderCare. Thank you all for everything!

My son started at KinderCare when he was 2 months old. He was almost 11 months old when he was forcibly unenrolled. He started having breath holding spells, mainly during diaper changes, only at the center. When these started happening I took him to his doctor, who made us aware that he was holding his breath, and there was no underlying condition. He never, ever held his breath at home, or with other family members. My son becomes distressed during diaper changes so you have to distract him with a toy, or a video. Then you can change his diaper and he’s fine. Same with getting him dressed. The episodes (relying on the information from their incident reports) showed this mostly occurred during diaper changes, with a couple instances where it was random. I don’t understand why he only did it at the center, besides him being so stressed that it’d lead to him holding his breath. My son being unenrolled was last minute, with no prior discussion, or warning. Their handbook reads children can be unenrolled immediately in emergency situations. This wasn’t an emergency situation. The last straw for them was my son holding his breath, again, for longer than usual. The doctor directed them to call EMS if he held it for longer than a minute. He held it until he passed out and then immediately started breathing again. We called the center to try and work with them to see if we could formulate a strategy to prevent these breath holding incidents. The director went so far as to feed into the brainstorming, as if we’d continue to work towards a solution in my son’s best interest. This struck me as very disingenuous when she called me just a few hours later, a half hour before they close, on a Friday, when they’re closed for the weekend, to tell me that they are unenrolling him because they weren’t equipped to handle this relatively simple issue. I did everything in my power to work with them. However, they did not reciprocate this effort. Outside of providing me with incident reports and some meetings where I offered what insight I could, there seemed to be an unwillingness to return the favor. Do with this information what you will. Even my son’s pediatrician has expressed how the center needs to be better educated in general. The number of times the center asked for a doctor’s note, or sent my son home, when he was healthy, amazed me(and his doctor). I will say, there were a fair amount of times where he was truly sick. However, the amount of times they were wrong outnumbered the times they were correct. Their ignorance resulted in me nearly losing my job due to having to leave to pick him up. It has been nearly 2 months since the sudden unenrollment. My son has not had a SINGLE breath holding spell, and, though I’m not surprised, he’s actually tolerated diaper changes better since leaving the center. I don’t believe this to be coincidental. We’ve since found a new daycare. In lieu of contacting corporate, which I’m still debating, I decided to post my experience for other inquiring families to reference.

Over the past two years, this Kindercare has become a place my kids enjoy going to during the school year and summer (many fun activities planned). My daughter says hi too ql the teachers during drop off and everyone is supportive and positive. The staff truly care about the children. The App is a fantastic way to catch up on photos and communicate well with the teachers and Director Kelly, who has done a phenominal job keep everything running smoothly with Danielle as well.

Do not send your kids here. I witnessed a teacher pushing children in classroom. That was our last minute at this center. I also find this center disorganized and just cold!
