- CKCatherine Kelly2 days ago1.0I was horrified by my experience in this security guard class. Our instructor, CHUCK, said several incredibly offensive things, ranging from racist jokes to misogynistic comments. He mocked someone for working at Giant. He made it seem "unfair" and "woke" that police officers accused of domestic violence cannot own weapons. He made fun of a woman's recently murdered boyfriend, saying "oh yeah, he sure was temporary." He poked fun at several students in the in-person session and tried to provoke a black man about saying the N-word. He admitted to growing up racist, and despite being racist during class, claimed it was "behind" him. Apart from the instructor's atrocious behavior, the class was seemingly run by a divorced couple. The woman acting as a secretary/scheduler interrupted class several times to argue with the instructor, and appeared to get exasperated and publicly upset often. The lack of professionalism and decorum was shocking. In terms of class structure and material, the class itself also did not meet expectations. The majority of the class time was taken up by the instructor ranting or showing unrelated police videos- AGAIN, this was a SECURITY GUARD class. He showed many videos of police brutality or unrelated cop-hero videos. Aside from those, he showed security guard training videos made by some OTHER company. The class was let out several hours early both days, meaning it does not even meet the official guidelances for licensure. I genuinely did not learn anything from this experience. I would not recommend this class to ANYONE, especially people of color, women, and anyone with self-respect. This instructor was unprofessional, clearly bigoted, unoriginal, and also seemingly uneducated on the basics of instruction and learning. Pay more for a better product and save your patience.

This has more than met my expectations. A wonderfully practical course - both personally and professionally. Also, I was able to be apart of the first class to train in the new training facility! You’re in for a treat!
