- SBSteven Baas4 days ago5.0Now why would an airport get a 5 star rating? 1) Our grandson loves planes- so we called the staff to find out if it was going to be a busy day. They were so kind to even fill us in on what time would be best to come. 2) This is an airport that has a playground! Between plane sightings - it was a dash back to the swings. 3) Those that work on the planes and in the area are so kind. There are fences put up for the public’s safety, so we were respectful and asked if we could be escorted to look at a plane up close. Sometimes we can, sometimes we can’t and I get it, it’s for our safety. But I’m thankful for the times that we can and that there are kind, personable employees that make a child’s day when they can. 4) The events. Keep your eyes peeled to see when the air events are coming. It’s a great time for the entire family.
