I was quite disappointed by my recent interaction with Kayla from Kindercare Congress street. I first inquired about availability for the upcoming school year and while I received an initial automatic email response, I didn’t get a response to my questions about openings. I then called the school several days later and spoke to Kayla who said she would email back about the availability. A few days later I still did not received a response so I emailed Kayla again and her response was short, offering no other information - apparently there were no full time preschool openings in September. I responded with follow up questions like, Are there three or four day options? Is there a waitlist? And still no response!

We enrolled our daughter at Kindercare when she was 4 months old. As a new parent, I was so anxious about leaving my daughter with strangers and entrusting them with her care. But, our experience has been nothing but positive. They helped with her tolerance to bottles (thank you Miss Amanda), have showered her with love, learning, and fun (thank you Miss Amanda, Miss Swathi, Miss Emma, Miss Emmanuelly, and Miss Leah), and our daughter, who’s now 15 months, doesn’t want to leave at the end of each day. Kayla and Deserie, the directors, are so on top of everything that goes on there and truly helps to make the experience a positive one. We’ve absolutely loved our time at the Congress Street Kindercare and would recommend it to anyone in the area.

After reading the most recent review I feel the need to respond on behalf of the director and her team. My child is currently attending the Congress Street KinderCare and we could not be happier. Our child is currently struggling with biting and although we feel terrible about it, Kayla and her team have continued to show us nothing but respect and support for this situation. I imagine it must be difficult to be on the receiving end of this specific situation as Kayla has been very transparent with the concerns this behavior brings forth in the classroom. As a result, we have been partnering with the KinderCare team on best practices to prevent this behavior from taking place and will continue to do so until it is resolved. We feel awful about this situation and the repercussions it must have but we cannot say enough good things about how management and her team handle these issues. Communication is very transparent and the director and her staff are always working together to ensure the safety of the children come first.

My son attended Kinder care for a little over a year. I removed him due to the director not caring that he was being bit to the point bruises were left on him, I had to bring the bite marks to their attention and I was told they didn't realize it but there is no way he got bit that hard and he didn't cry. On top of it he was being bit by a child that wasn't even in his classroom. When I spoke to the director the second time it happened she brushed it off as if it was normal for a PRESCHOOL child to go around biting other children, that is TODDLER behavior. When asked what was in plan for this to stop happening she told me i could bring my child between 9am-330pm because apparently she doesn't understand that some people have one income and cant change their job schedule to make her job easier because it seemed absolutely nothing was being done. The director then stated that it wasn't just my child being bit like it justified that situation. oh and all the positive reviews are due to the director always offering pizza day for the kids if they get a certain amount of good reviews in a certain time. If you want a daycare that the director actually cares don't put your kid here. Its unfortunate that the good teachers there have such a crappy director.
