Just this week, without any warning or explanation, the daycare is closed for an entire week due to "required deep cleaning". Sounds like they failed a sanitary inspection to me ... They have also not responded to emails regarding refunds. So in terms of communication, level of care, and where your money is going. AVOID. If the owner is reading this, please process the refunds, because you haven't provided any services for the week.

Take this red flag as a gift. Avoid this place at all costs. I am a local parent and was ALMOST a KinderCare customer. In fact, I tried my best to be a KinderCare customer, paid a deposit and was told my child had a reserved spot to start a few months later. Now it is clear I will never be a customer of KinderCare and others should think twice as well. When my wife was 7 months pregnant with our daughter (who is now 3 months old) we toured daycares in the area including the KinderCare in Longmeadow, MA. We were told this KinderCare would have a spot for my daughter when my wife returned to work in August. We felt confident after spending time at the facility so we took the plunge, paid our deposit and filled out her enrollment paperwork. 3 weeks before she was supposed to start my wife contacted KinderCare to ask if she could bring her by to get her acclimated to the place and to ask a few last minute questions. It was then that we were told Kindercare did not have a spot for our child and "had no record" of us. It quickly became clear that after we had paid our deposit new management was brought in (the old assistant director apparently works elsewhere in the KinderCare system now) and our enrollment was never documented. On the phone the new director said "I don't know who would have told you you had a spot so far in advance because that's not the way the world works." There was no ownership of error, no apology, and no recognition that we were now being put in a very difficult position. We were told KinderCare would call back by the end of the day to let us know if they could work something out. When we didn't hear back from anyone by the end of that day my wife called them. This is when we were told they found our deposit and registration paperwork. We were also told they were trying to hire new teachers and would call us by the end of the week to let me know if there was a spot for my daughter. Still no apology or recognition of the bind they put us in. No one ever apologized. No one commented on how unprofessional this is or how awful it must be to be a parent preparing to return to work in 3 weeks suddenly without childcare. They had our check and registration information with our contact information and could have put minimal effort in to call us. They chose not to. I can only imagine the minimal effort they must put in with the kids that enroll here. We were forced to take time out of our lives to go near and far searching for new day care centers with openings. Most were full. We eventually found a new place but it will cost more money (which is fine given how KinderCare would have treated us and our child) and we have to start a month later which requires me to take time off of work to fix KinderCare's mistake. Again, now ownership of their error. Two weeks later, KinderCare has never called us back to advise if they have a spot (not that we would take it) for our daughter. We told them we will come pick up our check they said "we have no idea what happened before we got here in April, I had nothing to do with this." This is at the absolute top of the list of poor customer service, and we are dealing with INFANTS! Take our red flag as a gift and avoid this place at all costs.
