Primrose School of Chelmsford is an accredited daycare located in the Chelmsford area that offers infant, toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and summer programs. For over 40 years Primrose preschools has been a trusted household name and a nationally recognized daycare provider committed to forging a path that leads to a brighter future for all children.
My daughter spent her 1 year old to 2 year old here. She went from toddler to early preschool. Many teachers and staffs have taken care of her. They are all very warm and caring. The support staffs are also well present while needed. It always amazed me how well behaved the kids are as toddlers. It always looked super cute when the little humans sitting around seriously. The teachers and student rario is more than good and every kid was given enough attention. The Procare app always send put pictures of my daughter being held by someone during activities. I appreciate that so much. My daughter also made good friends here and she remembers every name of her friends. She looked forward to school which was such a relief to me. If anything not so good, is that the price is pretty high, and young kids are frequently sick, and when they are sick you need to take days off at home to take care of them rather than sending them to school. However, every daycare has these down sides. We moved to Texas this year, chose another Primrose. Price is cheaper. But bigger classroom and student to teacher ratio, classroom is much more chaotic than Chelmsford. Now I’d rather pay a little more.

We really loved our time at this daycare! We had our 4/5 year old daughter there for pre-K and our 2/3 year old son for preschool. Both of our kids really connected with their teachers. The teachers were all extremely caring and creative - always doing fun and interesting activities. The curriculum was great - our kids learned a lot and had lots of fun at the same time. I was confident that my children were in really great hands while we were there - it is a really well run daycare. Overall, we had a great experience.

I am due soon with my first baby and have been looking all around southern NH and the Chelmsford/Westford area for childcare for this fall when my maternity leave ends. We have probably toured over 10 childcare centers and not a single one compared to Primrose School of Chelmsford! The director, Anne, was so warm and welcoming both on the phone and in person. She was able to answer all of our questions and calm all of the fears involved in being first time parents and bringing our baby to a center! Anne and her staff really took the time to help us feel comfortable and excited about this new journey! We are on a waitlist for the fall because infant rooms are always very full, but like I said, I couldn't imagine bringing my baby to a nicer school than Primrose so we will definitely be waiting for a spot!!! Thank you Anne and Primrose teachers!

I would not put my infant in this school. When I first called this school, I was told that there are two infant classrooms, one classroom for 0-6 months and one for 6-12 months babies. The day we dropped our daughter at the school she was almost 5 months old. However, as the school wanted to have both classrooms full to the capacity they put our daughter in Infant Classroom B with babies 7-, 8-, 11-, and 13-month old! Our daughter got a diaper rash after the first day at the school. The rash got so bad after three days that the school called and said maybe it is better to keep her at home because of the rash. When we took our daughter to her pediatrician, she said “they are not changing her”! After keeping her at home for five days, and after the rash was gone, we took her to the school. They asked us what the pediatrician said but we needed to be nice and we couldn't say that she said you guys are not changing her, so we said her skin is sensitive and let us show you how to change diaper and how much diaper cream to apply!!!! So I went in and showed them how to change diapers! One day my husband went to pick up our daughter and he heard her crying in the hallway, when he got to the classroom, the teachers started to make excuses as to why they were not picking her up off the ground with all the other older kids!! Our daughter kept getting diaper rash and it was difficult to care for her at home with both of us working. We started to look for a nanny and when we gave our withdrawal notification and removed our belongings from the school, the director wrote back that we have a very long waitlist, but when my husband asked her if the school is going to charge us for 30 days or if only till our daughter’s spot is backfilled for the waiting list, she wrote back in capital letter "as written in the contract for the whole duration of 30 days"! Again, I would think hard before putting my infant in this school.
