  The Shelbyville KinderCare location has been great for my family. My daughter's teachers, Ms. Silver and Ms. Selva, take wonderful care of her in the discovery preschool room. They work very hard to create engaging circle times and fun art activities each day for the kids! Her knowledge and confidence has grown during her time with them. My daughter loves to talk about her teachers and friends. Thank you to the amazing teachers and staff at KinderCare for helping my child thrive.

  PLEASE READ!!!! THESE REVEWS HAVE TO BE FAKE. I chose this daycare based on reviews and I am HIGHLY disappointed. I would never recommend this facility to anyone after my experience. As a parent you entrust strangers to make sure your child is cared for while you work and this Kindercare is not up to any sort of standard. If I find a better facility who can take my child I will be removing her. They placed my child in a infant room where I witnessed children crying for up to 30 minutes with no one attending to them or nurturing them. One baby fell on her head under the crib and no staff came to her aid until I picked her up myself. Most of the staff are young and they do NOT care about children this is just a job for them and their attitudes are just horrendous. They smile for the parents but once you leave your child is not cared for how they should be. I came to check on my child in the infant room and found her completely full of pee no diaper change crying her eyes out. They say they are doing diaper changes and don’t. It’s disgusting how they treat small children and they will be getting reported as a loving mother it’s horrible to witness that. The final straw is my child getting a rash (from not being changed) , pink eye (from the filthy facility where they let kids share personal items and do not sanitize OLD outdated toys) , and now a sickness where she is coughing up mucous and throwing up. I am disgusted ! All I have been met with is emails with empty promises nothing has changed and I will be taking my concerns to corporate and the state. I would advise any parent who loves your child to keep them out of this location. UPDATE 8/14/23 I want to commend Lindsay who saw my review and has been in contact with me regarding my concerns. She used to be the Director at Hurstbourne location and took my complaints very seriously. Being heard about your child is very reassuring and she has been nothing but professional and caring about this. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth but I appreciate the quick intervention.

  I love the care my daughter has received from KinderCare. She started off in the Toddler room. Ms.Julia & Ms.Pat were amazing with her and eased all my anxieties. When she moved into the two year old classroom, Ms.Silver & Ms.Selva created a strong bond with her instantly. Preschool was amazing! Ms. Joy & Ms. Bunmi taught her SO much. She STILL talks about her Preschool class. Now she is in Pre-k with Ms. Aly, Ms. Sweta, and Ms. Amita. She comes home talking about all of her daily activities and loves going to school. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

  My daughter has been going to KinderCare Shelbyville for a month now. I was bit nervous at first since I didn’t get to tour the daycare due to COVID rules and regulations. I sent my child based on our good friend’s recommendation who sends their child to KinderCare Shelbyville.  Since my daughter started at KinderCare her critical thinking development has been rapidly growing. I ABSOLUTELY love their learning curriculum and activities. I also love how all the teachers/caregivers are very professional, loving, and proficient. My daughter is always so excited to go to this daycare every morning. She has a great teacher, Ms.Pat who is attentive and very passionate of her job. She is very loving to my daughter. Lately my daughter keeps saying her name and looks forward to see her in the morning. Last week Ms.Jordan joined with Ms. Pat in toddler’s room so my daughter has been repeatedly calling Ms.Jordan’s name too. When your 20 months old toddler loves both of her teachers and looks happy that says a lot about the daycare and teachers. Here are few great things that stands out compared to other daycare in Louisville. 1. Allergy friendly meals- My daughter is severely allergic to dairy and eggs. I do not have to bring her special food from home. They provide and serve allergy friendly food with no additional cost. In addition, I like the fact that their lunch room is separate from the daily activities and nap room. This definitely helps for the safety reason because my kid is severely allergic to dairy and eggs so she is not picking up food from the floor and putting in the mouth. 2. Sunscreen and Bug-spray - they provide sunscreen and bug spray when playing outside. 3. KinderCare is technically advanced meaning all the communication and bills are maintained via KinderCare portal. In addition, parents get to download the app and receive daily notifications of your child such as activities, meal time, diaper changes, and lots of pictures. Parents can also add family members so they can see pictures of your little ones throughout the day. 4. There is a great diversity of backgrounds and cultures among the students and the staff. 5. The administrative team is very friendly, competent, and hands on. During this social distancing the admin team Haley, Kelsey, and Mary Kate have been very instrumental with checking kids in at the health posts and making sure parents are wearing masks and sterilizing during check in and check out.

  Kindercare goes above and beyond to care for your children, they essentially become an extension to your family. They foster a community not only within the children they serve and care for but with the families as well. The director and assistant director are incredible, proactive, and true leaders. The teachers are wonderful, knowledgeable, and intentional in their practices. The instruction is thoughtful and carried out in a way to support children where they are in their growth. Their programming is top notch, offering a wide variety of extension classes and programs such as cooking, phonics, music, as well as soccer through Soccer Shots. I highly recommend the Shelbyville Road Kindercare.
