  Both my kids have been going to this location since 2023, and it has been a great experience for us and for the kids. Ms Dez and Mz Jayde were the directors when we started, and managed the place well. For a short time, the facility saw a bit of a bumpy period as a director change occured, and things were a bit unsteady during that time. However, Ms Dez is now back as the director along with Ms Kate as assistant director and things are looking pretty good! My kids still enjoy their time there, and I am not worried about their safety while I am at work. Staff is friednly and take responsibilty. Would recommend to working moms.

  We couldn’t be happier with Phillip Road KinderCare! The staff is warm, caring, and attentive, and it’s clear they genuinely love and understand each child. The classrooms are clean, well-organized, and full of fun, educational activities that keep the kids engaged. Communication is excellent — we always know how our child’s day went and feel fully included in their learning and development. If you’re looking for a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for your little one, this daycare is top-notch. We’re so grateful for the amazing care and support they provide!

  One thing I really enjoy about this center is that my child really connects with her teachers, she is happy to see them everyday! She learns a lot throughout each day and I can tell she has lots of fun! I have had a couple incidents with prior staff (no longer work at the center) that were promptly addressed, which I appreciate that the director at that time took that initiative to coach staff to ensure issues did not reoccur and accountability was shown. Ensuring that parent concerns are taken seriously makes me have trust for the directors in charge here. The teachers stay ontop of communication throughout the day which I really appreciate as well as I always know what activities they are working on, the meals they eat, nap times, etc.

  We had a very disappointing experience at this daycare. Shortly after my child started attending, both the director and teachers began changing frequently. The constant staff turnover made it difficult to feel confident and comfortable. When I emailed with questions, I often did not receive responses. When I asked in person, I was told someone would follow up by email, but I rarely received clear communication. The most serious issue occurred when my wage verification form was not submitted to IDHS as previously stated. As a result, my child’s CCAP case was cancelled. This caused significant stress and disruption for our family. We ultimately decided to change daycare providers. Even after withdrawal, charges continued to appear on my child’s account. Only after I followed up were the charges adjusted, and no acknowledgment of the mistake was provided. Unfortunately, due to the lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism, I cannot recommend this center.

  I would like to share my experience with the Philip Rd. Kinder Care located in Vernon Hills. As the Virus spread, and things were shutting down, my local Kinder Care also shut down, unfortunately without a lot of warning. My place of business is considered “essential”, so I still had to go to work, but was in a very tight spot as I had no day care for my son and not much idea of what to do. Luckily for me, my local location was able to help me connect with the Vernon Hills location, which was still open. They even handled getting my son transferred over there! I was stunned (and quite relieved) that my local location would do that for me. It was only supposed to be for a few weeks, but as I’m sure that we’ve all experienced, things didn’t go as planned. My son ended up being there for the summer as well. I couldn’t be happier that he is there! It is a wonderful location and Sandy and Aly (the Director and Asst. Director) have been extremely helpful over the course of the past few months given the situation. They have gone above and beyond to help out. I can also see, from the daily reports that I get, that my son is learning things and doing fun activities, and not just sitting around playing video games all day. I really like the fact that he continues to learn. He enjoys being there, as has made several new friends at the location. As the school year is about to “begin”, we’ll be going back to our normal location as Kinder Cares are set up for e-learning now. We’ll really miss the Vernon Hills location and seeing the people there. The place turned a terrible situation into an excellent experience. I would HIGHLY recommend this location for anyone looking for day care for their children. --Dan H
