The BYU–Idaho Ed Tech Lab's main purpose is to help Education Majors gain the technology skills needed to be successful teachers in the modern classroom. However, anyone is invited to come study and use the computers and programs that are available. Programs and online tools that are available include the Microsoft Office programs, Screencastomatic, Photoshop, Adobe Connect, CMap, Voice Thread, Google Applications, Weebly, and many others. The Lab Assistants who work in the Lab are specially trained to help students with the programs and online tools. They are also able to administer Technology Competency Assessments, or TCAs.
