The BYU–Idaho Military Science is administered by the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). The Army ROTC program is designed to produce highly qualified commissioned officers in the U.S. Army, the U.S. Army Reserve, and the U.S. Army National Guard. The BYU–Idaho program is an extension of Boise State University Army ROTC. Military Science is a minor field of study. Students are expected to specialize in a major field of their choice.
