My experience with Montessori Academy
I wish I could say our daycare experience was positive — but it’s been heartbreaking. I’ve been denied basic access to my own daughter’s records and communication, which I believe is completely inappropriate and possibly unlawful.
As a mom going through a high-conflict custody situation, I can’t understand why a childcare provider would choose to get involved instead of staying neutral and supporting the child’s best interests.
It breaks my heart to know some centers do this, while others stay professional and compassionate. Hearing stories of parents who’ve had great daycare experiences actually gives me hope — because it reminds me it doesn’t have to be this way.
All I want is transparency, respect, and to be treated like an equal parent. Every child deserves two parents who can safely communicate and a school that honors that.

I truly wish I could rate this school higher. I believe deeply in the Montessori philosophy and the transformative benefits it offers young minds. Unfortunately, Montessori Academy does not reflect the core principles or professionalism one would expect, starting with its tuition structure.
The cost of tuition is based on the assumption that all staff working with students are Montessori-educated. In reality, only the “lead teachers” hold Montessori certifications—and they are absent during summer months. During this time, classrooms are led by uncertified “assistant teachers,” yet tuition remains the same. This is misleading at best.
Beyond staffing concerns, the work environment appears riddled with dysfunction. On more than one occasion while picking up my stepdaughter, I personally overheard condescending and inappropriate comments made by the “assistant principal” toward other staff members remarks made in front of both children and parents. While workplace tension can happen, airing grievances in front of paying families is unprofessional and emotionally immature.
Worse still, attempts to address concerns with senior leadership at Spring Education Group were met with silence. Multiple messages went unanswered—even after we received our child’s belongings in a black trash bag soaked in feces. It’s something you might expect from a disorganized daycare, not a premium-priced private school claiming to offer a superior educational model.
We also received “write-ups” about our child’s behavior that were completely out of character compared to her demeanor in every other setting at home, other programs, or with family. She is not perfect, but she is thoughtful, respectful, and responsive. Naturally, this raised concerns: If the behavior of senior staff in front of parents is so unprofessional, what kind of conduct is being modeled to children during the day?
This school has lost our trust and our business. From what I’ve seen, there is a lack of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and basic accountability from leadership. Major changes need to happen if Montessori Academy hopes to rebuild its reputation and earn back the confidence of families.
And for those wondering why their Eagle campus is closing and being merged into the Meridian location, they’ll tell you it’s because they “never recovered from COVID.” But maybe the truth is harder to admit: this school never had the leadership, discipline, or integrity needed to uphold the Montessori model—or to justify the high tuition they charge.

My son has been attending since July of 2024 and we have absolutely loved it. His teachers have been kind and friendly, the principal is fantastic, and I know he’s well taken care of, happy, and is learning so much. I’m so grateful to all the staff for the work they put in to provide excellent care and education for these kiddos

This past Spring, my husband and I decided to transition our daughter from an in-home provider (a SAHM who was watching our daughter along with her two older children) into a daycare/preschool setting. We wanted to give our daughter the opportunity to learn to socialize with children who are in the same developmental stage as her, as well as the opportunity to focus on appropriate learning milestones. We researched, toured, and spoke with most of the local daycares/preschools in our area, and none of them felt quite right until we stumbled onto the Montessori Academy. From the moment we walked into the school, we knew we had found our school. The facility is light and bright, extremely clean, and smells wonderful. In addition, the new school principal, Michelle, was a breath of fresh air! We showed up unannounced to inquire about the school, and she gave us a tour on the spot. I really appreciated this because I felt like the teachers and staff weren’t expecting a tour, so we really got to see what a “normal” day looks like. All the staff were so welcoming, and all the kids were smiling and really seemed to be enjoying themselves.
During the tour we discussed the curriculum, available extracurricular activities, classroom ratios, staff requirements, safety and security protocols, etc. I really liked Michelle’s hands-on approach with the staff and her obvious passion to provide her students with the best possible education through continued staff training and development.
We’ve been enrolled at Montessori Academy for about 4 months now, and we are loving it! The teachers, front desk staff, and administration are truly top notch. The staff regularly communicates with parents, and the administration is very approachable to hearing parents’ concerns or answering questions. In fact, they seek feedback about how the school can continue to improve and actually implement the feedback they receive!
Shortly after starting school, our daughter had a small adjustment period (totally expected). During this time, everyone was extremely patient, understanding, kind, and caring with her. Fast forward a few weeks and she is now all smiles and giggles when she sees her teachers in the morning! Not a week goes by that her teachers are not working to help her achieve a new skill or giving us reports about something new she is consistently achieving. Oh, and did I mention that she comes home in the best of moods?! She is truly flourishing, and we are so very happy! Knowing our little one is enjoying her school thanks to a great staff, makes going to work every day a little bit easier on this mama and daddy!
If you’re looking for more than just a daycare (i.e., babysitters), this is your school.
Professional, friendly, and caring staff. I highly recommend this Montesssori on Linder Rd.
