Everyone there was very helpful and they were very careful who came into their facilities. Also when the pandemic came about, they followed the guidelines as well. Even though my child is no longer there, she loved going and I know she will miss going.

I honestly hate to give Kindercare by Lindale road in Cedar Rapids, Iowa any stars. I was completely disappointed and disgusted with this facility. It is clearly the most FILTHY- DIRTY - VERY UNORGANIZED child care facility I have ever seen. It made me sad to see children in this environment. DHS or the Iowa dept of public Health & State Inspection really need to make an unannounced visit to this facility. The child to adult ratio was clearly understaffed by 3 or 4 times the maxamiun permissible limit. I OBSERVED ... Spilled food, puddles of milk that had been spilled by multipule children nothing had not been cleaned up in a timely manor. While some staff who were not assisting children ignored these pertinent issues I found that in it's self to be unsettling. Safety & Standards should be every employees responsibility. leaving questionable situations unattended tells a visitors such as myself NO ownership NO concern NO value of a work place other than a pay check. While being a visitors and being required to step over or step in the spills is simply unsatisfactory on every level in any facility. I observed Children fighting, crying, hitting one another. The LACK of staff and LACK of motivation by some of the employees was disturbing. Staff demonstrating the un-willingness to work or do their job is simply a crime. These are children, these Children are little people who are dependent on the employees to provided a safe and clean environment. The Staff here need standards of accountability and acceptability. Obviously being short staffed and not having nearly enough help or good help is an issue of concern. I am fairly certain there are a few darn good employees that do more than their fair share how ever they can not do it all. I noticed several employees managing to do nothing but congregate at the front desk, as though the screaming children, choes, filthy floors and unkempt general areas of business seemed to be of no ones responsibility or concern. I OBSERVED staff who were chatting or being sedentary did Nothing to resolve any of these issues. NO cleaning up of the spilled food NO crisis intervention of the fighting children NO tending to the disgruntled children, not to mention the smell of soiled diapers that was quite prevalent. NO organisation of structured time that I seen And if there is documentation I would seriously question it. From a safety stand point safety is everyone responsibility. Everyone needs to be aware of slip, trips, and fall hazzards: this is an issue of concern not just for the children but the staff and visitors Do to the chaos and disorganization and complete disregard for cleanliness in this facility with the exception of the infant room this facility is an accident waiting to happen if not already. Kindercare by Lindale Rd in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has some serious safety concerns. I OBSERVED some very poor house keeping practices. Severely Understaffed and lack of structure. I did not see or observe any structured time or learning objectives. This place needs some qualified oversight and management with structure and housekeeping being a priority. I'm seriously looking forward to reading the reviews from the state of Iowa inspection and review.

As a first time mom, finding a daycare for our son was hard. Trusting strangers to care for your child is even harder. Kindercare East has been wonderful; they meet all of our son's developmental needs with structured programs, his emotional needs with lots of cuddles, and they take the time to get to know the kids and their families. They made a first time mom trust them. I am a breastfeeding mother; they supported me by reading the material I gave them, encouraged me to breastfeed at drop-off and pick-up (working with me to avoid extra pumping) and they have a woman in the infant room that is a certified breastfeeding counselor! We cloth diaper our son. Most centers refuse to allow this. Not Kindercare. They worked with us and that was a huge plus. They go the extra mile. They are in constant communication through email or phone. They send pictures of our son to me to make my day better by showing me how much fun he has with his teachers. They call with a heads-up if he has a rough day. These are people who care. In addition, they working towards accredation which shows that they want to do what is best for your kid. I can't say enough about the staff. We have been with them for 4 months, and love it.
